I normally soak in a little sugar water then coat in butter/salt/pepper, pull husk back up and grill. Am I missing out on anything? What is your go to method?

I just peel and wrap in aluminum foil with salt, pepper and butter. Infrared grills do corn great

I soak in water for about a half hour with the husks on (ripping off the top silk and peeling any loose outer husks). Onto direct heat, turning as it darkens. Shuck, then immediately hit it with Slap Ya Mama. Done. I used to hit it with soy sauce first, but now I just do the seasoned salt.

Foil is good, but honestly the husk works just as good. i soak in cool water with a little salt for about ten minutes, then put a little butter and seasoning (like tony's) on there. Love that shite

This is what I do, it comes out great. I love the burnt pieces of corn mixed in with the others. Some people swear by putting mayonnaise on their grilled cobs.

I've never heard of mayo. Will have to try it sometime. I thought soy sauce was weird.

Sounds terrible.

Mayo then sprinkled with Parmesan cheese. It's actually pretty common.

For good fresh corn, peel back the husk, silk it, pull the husk back up, and wrap tight in foil. Lightly grills or bake it...just heat it through. It's too damn good to add anything to it.

Mayo grilled corn sounds terrible, but it's really good. Another good thing from South of the border.

Sounds like I may have to try it one day.

I can't grill corn and not make Mexican Street Corn.
Grill corn to a char. Slather hot corn off the grill in mayo (I know, but trust me).. sprinkle wth chili powder and garlic powder.. top with cilantro and cotija cheese (parm in a pinch) and a squirt of lime.
yum yum yum

Yep. I have a Tec grill and was nervous the first time I grilled corn. No need to have worried. Came out great just as you describe.
