Choice of aisle/window. Sit close to front so you can exit first.

Flying back from NYC a few weeks ago, our plane was delayed leaving, so we were 30-45 minutes late landing in Houston. The flight attendants said several times that anyone with a long connection or at their final destination should let people trying to make rushed connections get off first.
So... as soon as the plane landed everyone got up and tried to force their way off, connection or not. Assholes.
It's assholery at its finest. Plane was delayed an hour and a half once from Phoenix to Dallas, and the flight attendants say this, and 90% of the plane gets up. I have a job interview lined up and had about 15 minutes to board on the other side of the airport. Barely made the flight thanks to the assholes who wouldn't wait 5 minutes to let the people who actually have a connection make their flights. Assholes.

Because I fly Southwest for most trips under 3 hours and want a good seat
This is the only reason I would try to board first but if I fly SW I'll pay the extra to get priority boarding usually.
For international travel it's always business or first and I'm spoiled in that regard. It is nice to not even deal with the coach boarding process. On 777's you board differently and they don't even walk past you as you're wiping down with your warm wash cloth and the stewardess is putting up your carry-on and getting your drink.

I'm calling them this week. Not sure it's worth it to me. Not able to use it as much anymore, unfortunately. Which sucks because they really made the club better with some hot food.

yea, i usually let my pilots get in there first, complete their pre take off check list then hop on.

How am I supposed to sip champagne in first class and give the stink eye to the commoners as they pass through my palace of luxury if I don't board first?

Southwest- use priority or check in online right when you can.
Business/first class doesn't alway gaurntee drinks before takeoff. I find at least a fourth of the time they frick me over. I make up for lost drinks later on in the flight.
I get on the plane first so I can take my shoes off and relax.

Well if you're flying SW and don't have assigned seats, it's a different ballgame.

Some people should be forced to take a plane etiquette class. I flew this past weekend and both ways whenever we landed, practically everyone from the middle to the back jumped up and started trying to go ahead and push forward. It's like hey morons, we unload front to back. Settle the frick down.
I hate this and people who swing their stupid overstuffed backpacks into you when they are getting on the plane. frick them.
My wife, who travels weekly for work and fancies herself as an enforcer, pops up immediately at the gate and blocks the aisle with her carry on to keep the frickstards from crashing the front of the plane.
It's fun to watch when I travel with her.

I've actually gotten nailed a couple times by morons trying to swing a bag out of an overhead bin really fast. Ended up swinging out in a 360 motion until it hit my head. Take your fricking time, people! An extra 2 seconds won't hurt.

It's for carry on space.
Pay the $12 for the early bird boarding on SW.
