Anyone know of a good article or news around the program regarding Poche. The pressure will be on him to lock down Fridays. After the stretch of Friday starters we have had recently, that's quite a task.

Ryan Theriot was on the radio last week and said that Poche may be coming out of the pen to begin the season from what he's heard

He will likely not be the friday starter.

That was a guess by Ryan. Said he heard rumblings.

Wow. Shows you what I know. After his Nola'esque freshman season (their freshman seasons were eerily similar), I assumed he would be taking the ball on opening day and every Friday thereafter barring injury. Guess it isn't going to work out like that.

Yeah, I was surprised when I heard that. Hopefully that just means the talent coming this year is utterly ridiculous

Mainieri usually likes to have his Friday (or Thursday night this year during half of the SEC schedule) night pitcher be a power type thrower. Poche has the good off-speed stuff and uses location to his advantage but he doesn't throw very hard.

My guess is one of the hard-throwing freshmen will be the Friday starter, at least at first.

Reading that article, you can tell that Dellenger knows nothing about baseball.

Makes sense. Poche became the Saturday starter last year, and I can see him continuing that role.

So you couldn't just say, I was in Chicago for business and met him once.

Congrats on the not so subtle brag.

What are you talking about? Mac was enrolled at LSU and was doing individual workouts before he jetted.

Sabi you silly goose. That was Peter Latz we met in Chicago. Don't you remember him offering to design the gardens at your chateau in Villiers sur Marne?
