Why do most conservatives embrace a lack of evidence re: climate change but not religion?

You cannot judge religion/faith on evidence, because it is not a worldview that claims to be based on human reason.
It would be like evaluating a fish on its ability to fly.

Cause anyone with 2 brain cells can see that MAN MADE climate change is a hoax.

1. 18 year pause
2. Most computer predictions are off by alot
3. I am against the solutions presented by liberals not the idea of limiting carbon emmissions.
4. I think we should continue researching into how our climate works (although I think we should spend responsibly on it), but there are researchers that are just wasting money (I know a guy that was my physics tutor at LSU (he is not at LSU he is at some big climate research place, I don't want to post the name) that openly brags about how much money his climate research wastes(it is not TUBA)).

I guess this made sense in your brain.

PEOPLE WHO EMBRACE A RELIGION AT LEAST HAVE THE FRAMEWORK OF THOUSANDS OF YEARS OF HUMAN CIVILIZATION TO SUPPORT THEM. (sorry about caps).
The better question might be why Liberals who have been so skeptical of religion/God etc, have embraced the most Orthodox Faith of modern times in "Global Warming" which brands everybody as either a pious believer or a heretic worthy of scorn.

Isn't there also an actual PHYSIOLOGICAL impulse for faith/worship/prayer/belief in God? Part of the brain lights up like an electric grid in some people and is dormant with others, right? Conversely, aren't some people just skeptical by nature?

Because religion doesn't try to pass itself off as evidence based with scientific evidence (mostly, frick off ken ham)
Climate change tries to be something it's not.

Different hoax for different folks.

Why do most progressives embrace and have faith in the quasi=religion of "climate change" but are dismissive towards actual religion which does not pretend to be scientifically based or supported by evidence?

Why do liberals believe in abortion when clearly a baby can been seen in an ultrasound? #lackofevidence

Climate change, otoh, is going every taxpayer big time if man-made climate change doctrine gets enshrined in our laws. And you're going to pay whether you believe in man-made climate change or not.
That's one reason why.

Many conservatives view religion as a faith.
Liberals view climate change as his/her faith -- only in more of a cultish manner.

Also after years of studying human movement, genetics and now medicine you can not convince me that the intrinsicies of life just happened on their own.

People who believe in the God of the bible or Koran are such rubes

As a bonafide God worshiper, I believe that the Earth is surely affected by humanity. The environment for sure, if not the temperature. The former deserves a lot more of the attention that the climate change meme gets. The availability of fresh water - in the near future - will be far more problematic that a hotter climate.
Re Faith and empirical evidence/facts...it's there; but only if one truly puts in the labor to understand the concepts. Or more so (like Pimp points out) if one's DNA inclines one to be interested in that aspect of life. Plenty of good books on Quantum Physics, and how it ultimately comes down to subjective belief. And how Consciousness is likely to be the essence of Matter and Energy...and not the product of the two.
We all shape our character, and to a great degree, our Spiritual Reality as well. It'll be common knowledge in the future; at least to them who so choose to believe. William James covered the subject of Belief quite eloquently ("The Will to Believe". If one don't believe...stuff won't exist. Love comes to mind. Beauty too.
And the Good Book states clearly..."He that seeks to know God...must FIRST BELIEVE that He exists".
To each their own.

Because religion gets poured into your young psyche between the ages of 0-6 when there is no ability to filter or use critical thinking regarding the information going in. It is brainwashing plain and simple. Your religion is a function of geography, culture and psychological conditioning. People don't reason their way into religious beliefs and therefore you can't use reason to get them out of it. Bottom line.
