Yeah, there hasn't been any evidence to convict the cop, and the guy that said he had his hands up has served time for "lying to cops" in the past...Riots coming...

So are they just waiting until all of the kids get home from school and are going to announce at 5 or so?

Considering these assholes have promised "demonstrations", even if Wilson is charged, I find this to be a smart move by Nixon. One of his better ones in this situation IMHO, given how badly he put his foot in his mouth early on.

This whole situation is so pathetic. The fact that the Governor of Missouri has to activate the National Guard, and legitimate business owners in Ferguson have to board up their stores is a joke. It is shameful.

As long as they shoot each other and burn down their own neighborhood, I have no problem. Set up a perimeter and let no one in or out till it snows a foot.

The Justice Dept. civil rights portion of the investigation has to be just about finished by now. If so, that announcement should be made at the very same time as the Grand jury decision. (1) If Justice does decide to proceed against either the officer the Ferguson P.D. (or both), while the grand jury comes back with no true bill, simultaneously announcing the Justice decision could offset some of the intensity of the street reactions. (2) If Justice determines that no civil rights violations occurred, better to get both pieces of "bad news" for the protestors out there at one time and get it over with, even though the initial intensity of the reaction might be greater. Otherwise, the demonstrations will continue until Justice announces its decision and then re-intensify all over again.

I'm curious to see if the protest spreads to any other cities (at least on a small scale). The last incident of "racial injustice", Trayvon Martin, produced little if any "protest". Maybe that was just because the area where the incident took place wasn't predominantly black as is the case with Ferguson. I wouldn't think anything would happen outside of MO. But then again, we've got people like that idiot teacher in Texas spouting off her thoughts. I guess if enough people had that mindset, nothing better to do, and needed to get an early jump on Christmas shopping, something could happen elsewhere on a small scale

I'm convinced if there are no riots the major news netwoks are going to be terribly disappointed. They are practically pleading with the folks in Missouri to riot.
