Most spontaneous trip you have ever taken?

I was at work today and feeling unhappy. At about noon, I decided to look at the price of last minute flights to Vegas. The work day kept grating on me, and eventually I called my lady and told her I was considering going to Vegas after work. She told me to go for it (I know, so she can bang the poolboy, BBC, etc).
So I'm sitting here at the gate in SFO about to board the 75 minute flight, and then its time to gamble and drink for a day and a half and go back to work on Wednesday. I needed to clear my fricking head

Decided to go to Canada a few months ago. No plans or hotel reservations and only once we crossed the border realized our cellphone were virtually useless due to roaming charges.
The wife and I speculated that if we were to disappear no one would have a clue where to find us.

that is actually pretty cool...unfortunately, I am way to analytical to do something like that...I have to study and plan it into oblivion or I would be stressed as hell...

Woke up sat am in 2006, said get up biatch...got in car with girlfriend drove straight to auburn from BR, lost 7-3 on BS pass interference play... drove back after game. Went to work 10 am next day

Last year I was trying to think of where the wife and I could go for a short getaway. I looked up cruises and there was a 3 day that was leaving for Cozumel the next day. I booked it and we left the next afternoon. The cruise sucked (first time either of us had taken one), but Cozumel was awesome.

Summer of 1995 me and some brothers decide we want to go to Galviaton Texas. We come to this conclusion while sitting in a living room in Shelbyville, TN at about 1:00 AM. We hop on our bikes, stop by my place in alabama so I can grab some clothes and a bag and we head out. Wish I could still just get up and go on a whim like that sometimes.

Decided on Friday night to fly to Chicago Saturday morning and see if we could get into game 3 of the Stanley Cup on Saturday night. Did that and watched the Cubs Sunday afternoon. Flew home Sunday night and back to work Monday.

Summer between HS and college me and a few friends were working at a carwash. It was raining one day and we were sitting in the break room talking. The beach got brought up and we started planning a trip to Destin and it turned into "frick it, let's just go tonight" So everybody went home after work, packed, met back up a couple hours later, and we left for Destin that night. Spent 3 days down there. We all called in sick the first morning and just ignored the calls the other days. Great trip.
