1. My TV has been telling me since Tuesday that the people under 30 who swept Obama into office (twice) did NOT come out to vote in the midterms. If you have a problem with that, take it up with NBC, CBS, Fox, etc .

One can only hope for a continual downturn in voting participation.

Doesn't matter. Every new generation thinks the older folks are screwing them over, until they get older and realize it's the younger bastards who are the blood sucking leaches. Nothing ever changes.

Okay, I apologize for the astronaut thing, but I do know that when Kennedy threw down his moon challenge in 1960, it wasn't just the old people who picked it up and ran with it.

If you survived the Great Depression and WW II, wouldn't you want to frick like a rabbit? Leave my mom and dad's generation alone, dumbshit, they deserved some fun after what they'd been through.

Disagree. Look at education right now. This generation already has a issue with spending now and not saving money.

I blame the system that is in place more than the people who get in student loans. It wasn't like that for our parents, while it's a harsh reality that in order to really succeed in this world, a college education is nearly required unless you want to do manual labor in some way. If the system wasn't in place, then our generation wouldn't have gone into this debt. If anything, I think this will teach our generation to be smarter with their spending when it comes to houses, cars, and other commodities. We will legitimately ask ourselves if we can afford that and if we actually need what we are planning on purchasing.

Well, technically I'm a millenial, and I am none of the things that you describe.

Do you really want to to compare any of the modern wars to WWII when it comes to bloodshed and sacrifice?

No of course I don't want to try and compare/contrast. But to completely discount the fact that we've been in a 14 year war (Even though no one wants to call it that) is being awfully disingenuous

How is that a bonus for them? Its the boomers politics that result in an unending war with no clearly defined goals/objectives.

I would say the baby boomers totally screwed this country, and though it might take awhile, our generation (millenials) will be the one to rescue it. I am also for euthenizing everybody over 85, so get ready homie. Our turn to make the rules is quickly approaching, and I will kick you off MY lawn.

They allowed what needed to be done....well...be done...Something that is lost on today's leaders.

I don't mind them fricking like bunnies, it's the what they raised part that fricked us all over. The boomers bullshite is what caused the wild swing the other direction responsible for the millenials.

Greatest generation as a collective group was probably the worst parents this country has ever or will ever see.

This. Plus, the whole "I worked a part-time job through college and graduated with no debt" is largely a thing of the past now.

Hard not to spoil the shite out of your kids when you grow up poor as balls and fight in WWII/Korea.

I'm sorry the generation who's mostly either still in high school or college hasn't fixed the economy, balanced the budget, and closed the debt yet

I can't really blame them. If I grew up struggling and had to fight ugly wars, I'd want to make sure my kids have a better life. They just didn't know that would make their kids spoiled and haughty.
