Andrew Lucks scary blend of talent...

He's still in just his 3rd season, and already might be the best QB in the NFL. And his physical talent is scary, but his mental ability is even better than his physical talent.
IMO, he's a blend of a few QBs. Part Peyton Manning, part Tom Brady, part John Elway, part Cam Newton, part Ben Roethlisberger.
He is an extremely smart and cerebral player, almost robotic at times, like Peyton Manning. He's got that "it factor" and is a winner like Tom Brady. His athleticism and size is a blend of Elway and Newton. And he has the guts to sit in the pocket and throw a perfect pass and then get crushed by a DL or LB like Elway. And his physicality and ability to shrug off DL and LBs like its nothing and keep a play alive is similar to Big Ben.
He came in to the NFL as highly touted as you possibly could. Some people have even said he's the best QB prospect they have ever seen. And in just his 3rd year, it's safe to say he has lived up to those expectations. He's been nothing short of amazing since day 1 in the NFL.
But the scary thing, is that it's just his 3rd season. Manning didn't win a playoff game til his 6th season. He's already this good in his 3rd season... Imagine what he's gonna be like in his 6th year? Think of how much he will improve by then. He's not even in that prime NFL QB age yet. When he gets there, he could be playing the QB position at a level that we have never seen before and might not see ever again.
Every time I watch him I am amazed at how good he is. Then I remember he's just in his 3rd year and it's hard to fathom how good he could be when he's actually in his prime.

Luck already has a career-high 26 touchdowns entering the Week 10 bye. Just the fourth quarterback in history with 3,000 passing yards over the first nine games of the season, he's now on pace to break Peyton Manning's single-season record for passing yards. He's three games shy of breaking Drew Brees' record for the most consecutive 300-yard games.
3rd year...

Going to cruise into the HoF

I thought the hype was too much. I was concerned about his accuracy in college. Happy to be wrong.

Luck is off the charts good. If he stays healthy and Indy keeps any kind of talent around him, he is an HoF lock. May be in the conversation for GOAT in 10 years.
ETA: Let's pump the brakes on the current Peyton comparisons until he takes over as his own OC.

He could wind up being the greatest QB to ever play the game.

Let's relax gents. Manning was second team all pro in his second and third years. Luck didnt acomplish that. He also turned the colts from 3-13 to 13-3 in one year. He also had 26 TD, 26TD, and 33 TD in his first three years in a different era of football.
I'm not biased at all, just saying comparing him to the GOAT is premature.

He makes the cerebral part look effortless, at least compared to Manning who's losing his mind pre-snap (sometimes I wonder if his absurd attention to detail costs him in some bizarre way). With Luck it doesn't feel like he's even needing to grind hard upstairs
Would not be surprised if he becomes tGOAT. He does need to take a lot less hits, though it seems like every time he takes a big pop he's dropping bombs. Very glad he's in the AFC

Wait, why is Russell Wilson not in this discussion for best QB in the NFL? I thought some people here thought he was in the same league as Luck, maybe even better?

GOAT? Whoa stop the clock. Jaws said Kaepernick was going to be the GOAT. Why aren't we talking about Kaep?

Andrew Luck is the best young QB I have ever seen. No, he's not quite at the level of Manning and Brady yet because part of what is amazing about them is how long they have played at their level. Luck is not far behind them though at all and by the time his career is over he will be in the category as the all time greats. I know people will bash me because it's only his third year in the NFL but he is already at least the 6th best QB in the league, and I personally think he is top 5.
IMO right now it's
Manning
Brady
Rodgers
Brees
Luck

Here's a crazy stat:
He's played in 5 road games this year. He has at least 350 yards and 3 scores in each of them.

Did you cum after you posted this? The level of hyperbole is astounding.

Think about epic that contract is going to be. Yikes.

Luck has been crazy good all year but he easily could have had 3 or so INTs last night, he got real lucky with a few throws.
The TD to Wayne was sick tho. The TD to Hilton should have been an INT.

frick the Colts, they could possibly have 2 of the best QB's to ever play the game play back to back for them.

It is absolutely insane how lucky the Colts got on the QB lottery. They have Manning for all of those years, he gets hurt one year, and they fall to first pick. The same year that Andrew Luck comes out. So, unlike most teams that go years trying to get a franchise QB (and suck for years trying), the Colts get 2 of the best and only have to endure one losing season for it. Incredible

Hopefully his arm doesn't fall off. The colts run the ball a lot but his passing attempts are always up there.
He'd be deadly if their running game was more efficient.

He's a very good quarterback, but was lucky not to turn the ball over four times last night:
- Sacked by Robert Ayers, fumbled and the ball bounced right back into his arms.
- Fumbled on a 3rd and 1, Bradshaw recovered and scampered for 12 yards.
- Gifted an INT to Antrel Rolle, who dropped it.
- Rodgers-Cromartie seem to have intercepted Luck's pass in the end zone only to have it taken from him by Hilton, which counted as a touchdown.
