Jennings can't see the slot (Trey Quinn)

I have been to three games and left all with the same impression.....This Trey Quinn kid should be sitting on a 1000yd season this year. He is running exquisite routes across the middle from the slot and is routinely open. His hand is gonna have wind burn by December from signaling he is open over the middle. Jennings CANNOT see him. If he isn't looking at Trey from the snap he never checks down to that level. Quinn is a true freshman with a awesome skill set even on peel back blocks and rubs from the line. Surely thru tape review the staff can figure a way to exploit this talent. This kid is not utilized to potential. As a team there is a ton of lost yds. just sitting there for the taking!

he's too busy looking at Dural

1. It's because Quinn brings his lunch pail to work every day.
2. Jennings never gets to that read because he's not his first read. They aren't asking him to scan the field the way Mett did.

The only other person he throws to is Quinn.
Has anyone seen Diarse since Wisconsin? I'm pretty sure he's hanging out in the endzone wide open.

This offense can be unstoppable if A.J. can read a bit better...

So they are telling him to look at his first option, and if it's not there take a sack?

Most of the routes we run are 25+ yards down the field. That takes time to develop. He's not looking off anybody and he's holding on to the ball too long. He needs to get out of traffic and use his legs way more often then he does.

In two years...at this rate even without the catches....Quinn's ability to move thru the defense already mimics, Emmanuel Sanders, Julian Eddleman, Wes Welker type. I sure hope we can find a way to get him the Ball....He will be playing on Sunday's. His movement from the snap is almost flawless!

Well one thing's for damn sure we'll have to pass the ball plenty and well Saturday. This isn't some circlejerk rantard opinion about playcalling, this is realizing running the ball against Ole Miss's front 7 is a bad idea. Their run defense isn't bad meaning bad but bad meaning good.
Jennings needs to develop his vision and fast if we want to have a chance. He looked so poised and able to scan against Arky last year. Where has that been since then?

It's becasue he aint looking, he looks at primary then runs or takes a sack! It is what it is!

That's all he is usually capable of.

This phrasing makes me worry about you.

AJ only has the option to go to the receiver the play is designed for. Trey Quinn could be standing in the endzone all by himself but he's not getting the ball if his number wasn't called in the huddle.

Did the light ever come on for JJ, except for very brief moments?
AJ = JJ. No difference at all.
Would liked to have seen Rettig develop his passing skills under Cameron, but alas, he was run off for having too slow of a foot response.

I would love to see us go to Quinn on first down stead of the obvious hand off to Fournette going left! If they won't do that - go ahead and hit Dural deep if he is the only guy we can find to throw to. We have got to mix things up more against Ole Miss

I think very few plays have Trey as the primary receiver and that is a big part of it. I think LSU's offense is focused on throwing the deep ball to the outside receivers as the primary option, and the plays that Trey is open alot on he is the second or third option.
