Article
quote:

The National Weather Service in Shreveport says they picked up a debris field on radar Monday afternoon at the same time many people around the ArkLaTex reported hearing a loud boom.

According to Senior Forecaster Marty Mayeaux, the radar image appears similar to the debris field that was seen as a result of the explosion at Camp Minden in October 2012. Only this time, it appeared to originate in an area south of Wallace Lake in extreme northern DeSoto Parish, east of I-49.

I find it weird this is not being discussed here

I heard it but it just sounded like 3 loud booms of lightning. To me it sounded like it came from the west not south. (I'm in South Shreveport.

I lived 25 miles from camp minden when it blew up in 2012 and it scared the shite of me. Felt like a huge force just pushed on one side of the house with a large "boom".

Now I live in north Bossier City and didn't feel what happened Monday afternoon.

Been seeing about this on my NWLA friends facebooks and don't understand why its not a bigger deal. That area has wells out the arse, so much so you can see them on google earth spotting the landscape. Would be pretty coincidental if that was not involved. i hear natural gas is possibly flammable .....

Thats all of course if the first obvious most likely explanations is ruled out i.e. clutus' bigass meth emporium exploded.

the NWS said that the radar scan is every 6 minutes. They know that the debris on the radar was not there one scan and then it was there. I would think that there are smart enough people that can see what the wind speed and direction and be able to judge pretty much the approximate blast location would be

Google X-37B.

During the space shuttle program, we frequently heard sonic "booms" during the re-entrys.
