Season 1 of homeland was GOAT material. Its been downhill ever since.

This. Season 2 was solid tho, to a lesser extent.

i think season 2 started really strong but at some point it got kind of ridiculous with all the gaping plot holes. I honestly think i enjoyed season 1 of homeland more than any single season of either sopranos or breaking bad, it was that good.

This season has been better than last for sure. It would be even better without crazy Carrie

The lack of spy craft on the show kills me. The station chief getting whacked, Saul getting kidnapped, ridiculous

Saul getting kidnapped could happen although he was careless as hell. I do think that these upper level guys do lose some skill once they get into high up managerial positions.

Station chief could get killed I guess, especially considering the shite he was pulling. Funny enough though is that Kerri does the same shite (except she isnt sharing US govt secrets). I want to punch Kerri in the head sooo bad. They need to just kill her off and let the show revolve around Quinn.

I was really hoping they killed her off with poison in the medicine.

What a fricking hack writing job this is. They better have a damn good point to this halluciation shite. Or maybe they won't, I almost don't care any more.

The sad thing is that with all the ridiculous plot lines I figured they were really going to have Brody be alive when I first saw him.

I sadly thought the same thing..

Carrie is killing me. I said it before this episode last week that you could see from the previews it was going back to her being nuts. It's tired and boring and worst of all, annoying. But as long as it was just this episode with a freak out and no more institution stuff, then it will be fine if it moves the story along. I have a feeling the guy at the end is actually gonna help her.

Well it's to discredit her. The question is that general dude gonna help or hurt. I get the feeling he helps her from the look of the end of the episode and next week's previews. Sounded like she asked him something about "why was his men following her?" but it will be what saved her.

the former CIA Head would have a security detail at all times while in Pakistan

Yep. The station chief killing isn't that bizarre to me, for TV. Obviously Homeland played heavily on Pakistan 2010 in creating the story, so while a few deviations are obvious, it's not THAT far off for entertainment purposes.

agree
1) he was acting alone
2) he was betrayed
3) so abandoning his spycraft is not that far out

however Saul would know how much of a high profile target he would be for kidnappers and he would not go anywhere without an armed detail. They acted like he was some kind of damn tourist

This is the episode when she wakes up from some kind of electroshock induced dream and realizes Brody is still alive and Chris has gone rogue and is being recruited by Les Miles to be LSU's QB of the future. Or some other stupid shite.

It actually was decent. I really thought Saul was about to kill himself.

It's sort of mirroring the detainees from GITMO being released in real life.

Why would it take special forces an hour and a half to get to the rendezvous for sal? They had all night to prepare and get there.

Overall a good episode though. I Didn't think the paki general was on our side though.

Yeah I didn't understand sending him to a town. That's incredibly risky I would think. It's the middle of the night, and like Quinn said, he's a needle in a haystack. Lay low for a few hours and figure something better out that's not send the different looking guy with bloody wrists into the middle of a fricking town.
