Lost my shite with this lady this morning. She actually said it's a good thing that Ebola has "hit" the U.S. because " now it will be cured because there is money for curing diseases when white Americans are threatened but not for black Africans". Could not believe that she (white middle class 30 something soccer mom btw) found a way to make Ebola about race.

It will still continue to be a problem in Africa because they don't have infrastructure or money or really even qualified medical professionals. You think Africans stopped dying from AIDS once Magic Johnson got it?

in a small way, she has some points. Big-Pharma does seem to focus on whichever drugs would be the most profitable. Americans can pay more than hut-dwelling Africans.
We would gladly line up for $1,000 Ebola vaccines.

This woman's thought process is inherently wrong because Ebola has been a threat to white America for months now. This incident in dallas just highlights how big of a threat ebola is globally.

This lady, as is most of the US population regardless of race, is ignorant to the facts. I have friends who work in the UTMB BSL-4 lab in Galveston. They have been working on the issue for quite some time and will continue their efforts at the same level as before. The Dallas case only gave the MEDIA something to talk about because they have nothing else going right now.
FYI, the Dallas case is not the first time a person was in the continental US with ebola.

Her dumb arse will probably think the experimental meds they have game about because of this outbreak rather than being worked on for years.
