He has become extremely mediocre, but VT has a new AD who won't stand for that shite.

If Weiss lost to Central Saturday he was gone. I think it will be probably Illinois coach. They are in serious trouble now the B1G has started. Plus they were embarrassed by UW on national TV.

They're 3-1 with winnable games left against Purdue, Iowa, Minnesota and Northwestern. They could conceivably go 7-5 this year, especially since the Big Ten is a dumpster fire after Ohio State, Wisconsin, Penn State and Michigan State.

The obvious answer is the first coach to get the dreaded "vote of confidence" from his AD. At that point its time to put up the for sale sign and start looking for your next coaching gig.

I'd bet anything that Hoke gets the first vote of confidence.

He probably won't get canned mid-season because he's a "Michigan Man" (whatever that is), but he'll definitely get a vote of confidence after losing to the likes of Minnesota, Indiana or Northwestern.

VT has a new AD

I wonder if that AD would consider moving VT from the ACC to the SEC? That might be what gets NC State as well.

Muschamp might win just enough to keep his job. I am curious if you guys think he is gone with 8-4 or 7-5. A lot of injuries last year.

Muschamp is gone with anything less than 8-4 IMO. I think Tennessee beats them

I'd imagine all ADs want to move to the SEC, they just need to be invited first

He wont be fired but I think this is the year VT finally runs off Beamer. Time to shake things up in Blacksburg.

He was just extended until Jan 1, 2019. There's got to be some big payout numbers in there if he's let go before that.

I bet Muschamp wishes he had that rent a win from week 1 back that he lost so his record would look better this season.

Florida's schedule is brutal. They could be a better team and not show it record wise because of who they play.

Who's the North Carolina coach? Is the ACC considered a top 5 conference?

Michigan won't fire a coach during the season. That's not their way. I say Muschamp.
