I thought it after 1/9, I felt it after Ole Miss last year, and finally realized it last night. I have a bad feeling we are about to fall far and fast. It saddens me but I just don't think the man in charge is proactive enough to change things before it's too late.

Step back from the ledge bro. This team will be totally different in 2 months. We see it every single year.

Not sure about the decline but what more can he change? We have the two highest paid coordinators in the country. And allegedly recruit like crazy.

Last year, the loss against Ole Miss sucked. But it was Ole Miss, who always plays us tough, on the road, our QB threw 3 picks, etc.

Last night we got our arse kicked by Mississippi fricking State in our SEC opener in our newly renovated stadium with a healthy team. And the scary thing is that it's just the beginning

Early NFL attrition killed Bobby Bowden, Spurrier at Florida, Urban Myer at Florida, Phil Fulmer at UTenn and even Pete Carroll at USCw. It appears the mighty Nick Saban is the only coach that is not affected by this attrition.

The reason he is not affected is because he NEVER has an off year recruiting. Sadly, even though the 2014 class for LSU was very, very good...we are looking at finishing outside of the Top 12 in recruiting in 2015. More importantly, Bama, AU, Texas A&M and maybe even Ole Miss will all finish ahead of us in 2015 recruiting.

I say all of this to illustrate that we are nearing the end of this run in LSU history. I think LSU has some inherent advantages in college football and we will be back. But we will not be back under Miles and it could be many years before we realistically compete for a national title again.

It has been a great ride and it sucks that it is over....but make no mistake, it is over.

i still can't believe we lost.....to Mississippi state. I guess when you beat them like 21 out of the last 22 years you are bound to eventually lose to them again. when we start losing to teams like Indiana or ULM or App St ill believe in tDecline

I am with you.

With the exception of our talent I bet opposing coaching staffs treat preparing for our offense like a week off. Show a few formations and say yep they are doing the same shite...oline looks worse though

The only decline that is real is the amount of fans on the bandwagon.

A quick search of your posting history reveals you enjoy hating LSU. This thread follows that pattern.

I totally agree, but it helps to have an offensive line and defensive line, plus we play short with no mike linebacker. Welter, please.
