iPods still have a niche. Allow you to store music not on your phone, connect to your car and don't have to worry about phone battery, small so easier to use for working out, etc. There is a niche for it.

If you have to have your phone on you for the Apple watch to work, you've spent at least $350 to not have to take your phone out of your pocket.

Devs are all banking on smart accessories being the Next Big Thing.

Heads up display on your glasses when you get a call kind of thing.

I feel it's going to be like 3D where they try to shove down our throats before the market is ready.

Considering 64 is the same price as the old 32, why would you care?

Exactly. I think theyre banking on a lot of people just saying oh well I can get double the memory for the same price as 32 used to be, and 4x the base for only 100$ more.

pretty sure you don't need to always have your phone on you for the watch to work. It syncs back to the phone whenever you're close by.

Sure but you cant get messages and stuff in real time. Another gay thing is no headphone upgrade. You would think they would include Beats earbuds with iPhone 6 and the watch or AT LEAST say they are upgrading with the new "tech" they got in the Beats acquisition.

i'm being serious, as a huge Android fanboy, even I recognize that. In fact, they probably shouldn't have announced the Watch at all today. Just waited and had a separate event for it.

As unexciting as the iphone was, I don't blame them. Plus, these bloggers and writers will be able to get their hands on all 3 devices in a few and we'll get a ton more information. Hard details like battery life, connectivity type, etc. will have to wait until real world use and full spec release.

Good point, some people may have not got middle like they did before if 32 was offered as base. It is a smart play by apple to get a nice pay day.

I can't fault them for that, it's a business, they want money.

Kinda how I look at it.

I mean, I get it for people who would get it to work out and do outdoor activities, but I don't mind strapping my phone to my arm.

I just hope they have some watch faces that look like the mechanical watches exposing all the inner workings.

Garmin breathing a huge sigh of relief that it's dependent on iphone GPS. Makes it basically useless for anyone serious about running/swimming/cycling.

Did Apple just pay the world's biggest crap to give away the new album?

Apple's headphones are fine as is. No need to tinker with them. Only change I'd di is to make them longer

Maybe I really tempered my expectations, but I was pleased. I didn't expect the screen resolution, full landscape mode and native app functionality on the 6+.

I'm also very glad they're doing pre-orders this year.
