two-thirds of America is white, yet both the President and the chief law enforcement officer are black.

No that's not the real headline, but talk about race baiting pieces of shite. Are blacks not allowed to vote for white people now?

Just sensationalizing brah. From hurricanes to ho's, it's just what they do.

I posted this on another board; this headline is SO racist.

yeah i mean...i PRESUME that these officials are elected (the chief may be appointed). if there aren't enough black people represented in government, then that's the fault of the black electorate not promoting and/or electing officials
and i've seen the "there aren't enough black cops" argument a lot with respect to this situation...but the cops are honest: black people are not applying for the jobs.

Probably for another thread, but at what point will underrepresented groups begin looking at themselves in the mirror to see that there are things they aren't doing that leads to the disparity.

It is beyond ridiculous. Mayor is a voted position. Period. If people are truly concerned and want to make decisions based off color, perhaps maybe, just maybe, they should spend the 5 minutes it takes to vote. Heaven forbid that would require 5 minutes of pro-activeness....

it's not going to be easy, because the lib-progs/SJWs have created this bullshite argument that their issues are due to "institutions"
the individual is meaningless, and any bad choices they make have had the responsibility removed. their failures are due to the "institutions"

Most of Ferguson is poor, and most poor don't vote b/c feeling of disenfranchisement in society.

Why are you presuming that the black people of Ferguson didn't vote for a white mayor? Christ, if that's where we are as a nation, lets go ahead and divide up the country along racial lines.

Our country is done. I give it 100 years more and that's it.

Unless they want a Rep. president in all future elections something tells me they will.

There is a gay woman and a black guy running my city! I feel so discriminated against.
If liberals weren't so stupid, I wouldn't care about headlines like that. But they eat that shite up.

The media and a lot of politicians are working very hard to turn this into media frenzy event that will drive the national conversation ahead of the mid term elections. From a previous thread:
There is an astounding amount of bullshite and assumptions in the article posted in the OP. I wouldn't doubt for a second that this is going to get more and more politicized and more racial moving forward.

It seems like racial incidents get exceptional media coverage prior to major national elections, which in turns make these incidents bigger and more difficult to ignore. Every political or media personality that needs to exploit people's emotions to generate support will have ample opportunity to get in front of the camera and express their faux outrage.

It's probably because black votes only count as 3/5 of a vote
Posted on 8/15/14 at 9:35 am to C
is this like reverse race baiting

When the Obama administration suggested shutting down Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, the mortgage giants whose losses of $150 billion have had to be made up by taxpayers, The Washington Post warned, in a story headlined, “Winding Down Fannie and Freddie Could Put Minority Careers at Risk,” that 44 percent of Fannie employees and 50 percent of Freddie’s were persons of color.
