24 booths, only six are staffed.
Confusing number system..

The express ones are better, but can't do what I need.
Been here since 9am. I'll never get called, lol.

Because they get paid no matter how many (or how few) "customers" they process.

Fact.

They're copying the Wal-Mart customer service mantra......450 lanes......3 open

I got there when they opened and waited 2 hours. It's insane. There was a guy next to me who was 280th in line. I would have just left and took my chances with an expired license

I went to Ace License and Title on Jefferson Hwy in N.O. yesterday for license renewal. Was in and out in less than 15 minutes. Unsure of your needs, but its a thought.

There's a DMV express corner of Siegen and Perkins.

Next week one will be open in city court downtown third floor

There's a mega center about 30 minutes from me. 50+ booths staffed and different sections for different needs. I "got in line" via my phone, drove over, and was in and out in 15 minutes.

There is zero incentive for them to provide good and quick service. You are forced to go there.

I waited for an hour yesterday at the express on Siegan. But good thing they had a nice SALTWATER fish tank for me to look at while waiting. Hey here's an Idea, how about use the thousands of dollars they dropped in the fish tank and hire another fat arse to occupy a booth.

I'll take this time to give props in unlikely place.

The female manager at the DMV express on Siegen is pretty frickin awesome with customer service and getting people taken care of and outta there fast.
