At the new Yulman Stadium, Tulane will occupy the east sideline, looking into the sun -- #wgnosports

And the down and distance chains will be on Tulane's side of the field #wgnosports

I have spoken to several coaches about this issue -- am I overreacting to this? or is this a huge competitive disadvantage? #wgnosports

To a man, these coaches have told me this is a true disadvantage -- if so, #wgnosports

why would you build a new stadium and then put your coaches at such a disadvantage? Just so your team can be in front of the home fans?

Very poor -- If you remember at the old Tulane Stadium -- and in just about every stadium in America, the home team is on the west side --

too bad - #wgnosports

What is also amazing is your hire a solid coach, he wins, you pay him over a million a year -- and then you do this #wgnosports

What happened to coming back on campus because it was so a big advantage? Oh, well #wgnosports

are they playing their games at 2:30? It shouldn't matter too much for night games.

as of right now... of the few games that have set times... the home opener vs. GA Tech is the only day game... w/ a 3:00 start
home games against SELA and Cincinnati are set for 7:00
that leaves 3 other home game times TBA... vs. UConn, Memphis (homecoming) & Temple (season finale)

Whats amazing to me is that Curtis Johnson goes 7-6 and he's making $1.2 million.

That's probably right in line with most AAC salaries.

Does he live uptown and was he inconvenienced by the stadium construction? He's mad

I dont think he's mad. He prob just ran with the story when he talked to other coaches

Seems like a bit of an overreaction by Ed.

I agree w/ this... I've had some run-ins w/ him and he seems to be the type that would look at everything and want to see how an advantage could be played
he prob. hadn't thought about that until he talked to coaches and they said something about it

Not saying he's wrong but I've never heard that before.

They play night games but theoretically he's absolutely right.

Are they finished with construction? Any new updates?

Ed believes that an indoor practice facility and playing in the Dome would have benefitted Tulane more in the long run...

I agree with this. I can remember when Tulane would always have a big name such as Bama, FSU, Ole Miss or Miss St. come to the done. I seriously doubt those teams would even consider playing at the smaller stadium. I still think it's a recruiting advantage as well.
