Ranking the 4 Golf Majors

I go back and forth on this subject, and was curious what everyone's views are on ranking of the four majors? Most everyone would agree the PGA Championship is number four but what of the other 3?
Also, which do you think the players view to be the most prestigious?

1) US Open
2) Masters
3) Open
I enjoy the US Open because it is the greatest challenge almost always.

I've always liked them in the order they're played, but the British is catching up with the US Open pretty quick. Now that I understand the challenge of links golf better, I've gotten more and more excited for the British each year. Plus, the US Open has gotten a little stale for me lately.

The us open is stressful even just watching as a fan
It's not quite as exciting watching someone grind out pars day in and day out

In order of how I enjoy them for the golf:
1. US Open
2. British
3. Masters
4. PGA
I love watching the best struggle and grind out a win. The US is awesome for that. And I don't get to see Links golf much, so the British intrigues me. The Masters is the same every year, which means it's a bit repetitive golf-wise. But that consistency with Augusta National, though it takes away a bit from the golf, kind of leads into this...
In order how I enjoy them for the "spectacle"/tradition:
1. Masters
2. British
3. US
4. PGA
In order how I assume the Americans/non-Europeans view each tournament prestige-wise/which one they'd want to win the most (assuming they hadn't won a major. It could obviously be different if someone had won three in three different tournaments and was looking for a "grand slam"):
1. Masters
2. US
3. British
4. PGA
In order how I assume the Europeans view each tournament prestige-wise/which one they'd want to win the most:
1. British
2. Masters
3. US

I like it for its change of pace. Weekly tournaments are birdie fests and stupid low numbers.
US Open is one of the only tournaments built to truly test the golfers. Watching someone move around a US Open course when they are in the zone is awesome. You see a ton of different shots (same with the British).

Masters is the best spectacle
US Open is probably hardest to win and the most prestigious.
British is the most historic
PGA is basically like another tournament with its huge field.
In terms of my personal favorite to watch, it'd be
Masters, US, British, PGA
For players, I'll say
US, Masters, British, PGA with the British being at #1 for the europeans

*I'd put The Players at #2 if we were including all tournaments.

I agree the US open has gotten a little stale lately. Open championship is a very unique challenge.
