Is a seller obligated to inform a buyer that there is a swimming pool fiiled in and buried in yard?

The slide to no where should have tipped you off...

Pretty sure they don't. I found one buried in my back yard after I bought it and it wasn't disclosed.

You're a dick if you don't.
Wouldn't you want to know??

Just tell them to call you before they dig

The only things they have to disclose to you are usually covered on the Louisiana Property Disclosure Form.

No, I have one buried on a lot that I own.

Hmm.
Bodies aren't included on that form.
Cool.

I'd be upset if I found that out when I went out to plant something there. How much surface area concrete are we talking about?

And how much soil over the concrete?

Where do slides usually take you?

Why does it matter? Doing a little excavating?

If it holds water it could still be a problem.

Just curious . Does seller have to disclose if someone was murdered in house?

I was gonna say "if there's a diving board in the middle of the lawn, that's a clue", but this made me

Its not my property. Someone I know is selling her house. She had the pool filled in a couple of years ago and she was wondering if it had to be disclosed.

I don't see it as a big deal as long as the pool was decommissioned properly, i.e. fill it(usually with sand,) and puncture the sides and bottom, been doing that with septic tanks forever

There is the legal thing to do and the right thing to do. I don't know if legally, she needs to. But she should. She knows it's there, she should disclose it. If it was done properly, she can show receipts, etc.
