I also just finished my first semester, MADM 760 with Heller (got an A, also) and am also going into ACCT 701 with Ambrosio. I am only taking one class at a time so as not to kill myself and manage home life with a wife and a 2 year old. I also plan to take ISDS 705 with Gibbs.

Thanks for detailed review on program.

I am from non-business background, which book do you recommend for FIN 701 with vines?

I am taking ACCT 701 and FIN 701 in fall ap1

You don't really need a book with Vines. I took him back before the no book policy and we barely used it. Be able to do everything he teaches in his condensed notes, have your spreadsheets/templates ready for the quizzes, and attend the Zoom sessions if you have any questions.

I agree with mtntreks advice. I don't remember even cracking the textbook in that class when I took it over a year ago. His notes are the key.

@tigerlsus One page back on 308 someone mentions a text. I am also from a non-biz background and found that I needed to supplement Vines' notes with other sources in order to grasp the concepts. His notes contain acronyms that aren't defined, examples that skip some of the steps and things like that which take for granted a background knowledge that I didn't have.

I used supplemental videos, the best of which were "mbabulls#*t.com" (spell it out -- I just don't want TD to flag it for profanity here). They are on a website by the same name and also on You Tube. Some of the videos require subscription but there are enough of them available for free to get you through the course. The guy is a gifted teacher who breaks down the BS and explains the concepts in jargon-free language. This is now my go-to resource for quantitative classes.

Thank you, I'll check it out.

EDIT: Checked them out, great vids! Thank you!

This MKT701 - Darrat syllabus is a little daunting. But doable since I’m not doubling this term.

Anybody have a syllabus from the new marketing professor?

To those that have completed the program. Is there a graduation fee? If so, how much is it?

Thanks.

I justed finished his MKT 710 class and have him now for MKT701.
The work is the same except 701 has 3 ecams and 710 had no exams but a 10-15 page final paper.

He is quick to respond and pretty straightforward.
If you do the work you will be fine.
All in all I enjoyed him and the class.

Yes, it's open book on everything. He said so in the videos posted with the syllabus and text book.

I'm taking ECON 705 with Shanassey during the second half of the fall semester. Those who have taken it, would you recommend stacking it and, if so, with what course/professor?

I'm trying to avoid doing the summer semester next year.

Thanks for the response! Is he a hard grader? Easy grade? and how was exam difficulty? Simple or trick questions? Thanks again!

ECON 705 is a mid-intensive course that can be stacked with anything aside from perhaps the most intensive courses, (ie ISDS 710, MADM 760). I doubled with ISDS 705, and it was easy. I feel like I could have taken one more easy course.

Thanks! Haven’t gotten around to watching the videos yet. Are you taking it in Fall AP1? Good luck if so
