Take Shaugnessy ECON 705, he is one of the best. He provides excellent learning materials, there are past videos and zoom sessions through which you can clear your doubts.

I dropped MADM 701 from SP AP2, too much work load for me with 40-50 hrs per week demanding job plus another course plus family and friends. It consumed my entire week/weekend and I was not able to focus on second course.

I had taken 3 courses in SP AP1 to target my MBA degree in Summer AP1 but now I will have to wait till Summer AP2. :(

Does anybody know how much time the coach takes to grade assignment and discussion posts in MADM701 - Dr. Williams?

Need help in understanding workload of courses

I have six courses left to complete my MBA and I am planning as below

Spring AP1
ISDS 702 - koksal
ISDS 705 - Lin
FIN 710 - Hseih

Spring AP2
FIN 720 - Hseih
MADM 701 - Felice Williams

Sum AP1
MKT 701

I am concerned about spring ap1 as I am taking 3 courses. I can move ISDS705 to sum AP1 but not sure if I will have time in summer..

This forum has been helpful in deciding the course loads and professor preferences, I would like to add here my experience of taking 3 courses in Spring AP1

It is possible to take up 3 courses but you will need to know your strength and if you have prior experience it is easy to skip some of the readings or just scan through once.

I have prior experience in Information Technology, beginner stats and like quantitative course loads instead of reading/writing. SO I took up ISDS 702 , ISDS 705 and FIN 710.

ISDS 702 with Dr. Koksal -> pretty straightforward and has minimum course load.

ISDS 705 with Dr. Lin -> Good amount of readings, I scanned and skipped lots of topics as I was already aware of, but the most difficult thing is to schedule proctorU and exam is only open for one day. So as far as flexibility is concerned its not that flexible to schedule exam

FIN710 with Dr. Hshei - Also, straightforward, most of my time was spent on problem solving and preparing template, I skipped the supplementary videos and zoom meetings as it covered same topics.

Because of this, I am on track to complete my MBA in 5 terms and only taking MKT701 in Sum AP1.

Hello.. I took same courses in fall AP1, workload is moderate..

I had Prof Vines and Prof Ambrosio... both were excellent

@GeauxUF.. how did your MADM701 with F Williams go? please let me know some details on structure of the course and amount of time spent on this.

I will be doubling up with FIN720 in AP2.

Hello All.. I am trying to decide synthesis paper topic for MADM760 (Dr. Meeks), need few inputs from others who have already taken the class

is it necessary to perform strategy analysis on a company?
how many words can get me 300/300 considering that the paper will be meaningful not just word counts..

Any other advise which you guys can provide!!

I think MAD760 should be taken solo with Dr. Meeks, also if you don't have Business background. It has lots of reading and writing. Though some of my classmates are taking 2 courses, I am going solo.
