Work with a PT. Some say rest, some say to continue running.

The key is to find 1 person to work with you throughout. Just find one you trust and who shares your vision.

There are numerous exercises that can be done to help. Common ones involve a towel, a frozen water bottle, and a softball. They work like a charm.

My buddy who is a CNP shoots people up all the time for PF. Says it's one of the most painful shots one can get.

get better shoes that are for your type of foot. Any nice shoe store should be able to accommodate this for you

Roll a frozen water bottle on your foot when you're sitting on a couch.

I used a dish towel as a buffer... Took a little over a week..

Also, use a bath towel and put it around your foot and stretch it back with both hands on the other end of the towel. Do that in conjunction with the ice.

Oh, and regular Advil/Tylenol/etc

I had a friend train for and run a marathon through it. She finally bought a splint for at night and saw a sports chiro for ART and taping which helped. She still wears the splint occasionally just because.

A few friends on FB running pages have said that acupuncture changed their life regarding PF ... even after just 1 treatment there was a noticeable difference.

Sorry he has this ... so glad that is one issue I have NOT had!
