I use my paw paw's old shot glass to drink a shot every night. I've gotten used to the taste for the most part.

it's very good for you but don't drink it straight--bad for teeth and innards.

What Are the Risks of Apple Cider Vinegar?

On the whole, the risks of taking occasional, small amounts of apple cider vinegar seem low. But using apple cider vinegar over the long term, or in larger amounts, could have risks. Here are some things to keep in mind.

Apple cider vinegar is highly acidic. The main ingredient of apple cider vinegar is acetic acid. As the name suggests, it's quite harsh. Apple cider vinegar should always be diluted with water or juice before swallowed. Pure apple cider vinegar could damage the tooth enamel and the tissues in your throat and mouth. One study found a woman who got an apple cider vinegar supplement stuck in her throat suffered lasting damage to her esophagus. In addition, vinegar has been known to cause contact burns to the skin.
Long-term use of apple cider vinegar could cause low potassium levels and lower bone density. If you already have low potassium or osteoporosis, talk to your health care provider before using apple cider vinegar.
Apple cider vinegar could theoretically interact with diuretics, laxatives, and medicines for diabetes and heart disease.
If you have diabetes, check with your health care provider before using apple cider vinegar. Vinegar contains chromium, which can alter your insulin levels.

It's one of the ingredients in my BBQ sauce recipe. That's about the only thing I use it for.

(BTW, My BBQ sauce came in top 10 in the KCBS Professional Division at the 2008 Stokin The Fire BBQ Cook-Off.)

Dude, bypassing the smart arse answers. Mix one cup of unfiltered apple cider vinegar with one cup of raw honey and one cup of lemon or lime juice. Shake well. Refrigerate. Honey will settle at the bottom at first but later mix after a couple of days. Take two tablespoons in the morning and two late afternoon. Believe it or not, pinch your nose closed and hold your breath when taking and it will be ZERO problem.
Totally cured my Gerd after a few days and my libido went WAY up!

I'm sure Aunt Gerd is grateful, especially for your libido going up.

I wouldn't drink ACV daily, though.

If only I could have your lack of a metabolism and digestive system that works like a charm. I eat like I'm 18 and single for lunch. The food barely finishes warming up before it's gone. I understand I should slow down and eat more small portions throughout the day but most of the time it's just not an option. Great insight though dick.

I've used it before, Braggs. It seemed to irritate my stomach after using it for a month. I diluted it and usually mixed in a teaspoon of raw honey. My sis swears by it.
What I found relieved my GERD was cutting out the sugar and white flour, fried foods and that kind of stuff.

I love vinegar. When I was a kid I would sneak into the pantry and shoot cap fulls of the stuff. My mom had to start hiding it from me

The stuff cured my AIDS!

Seriously though...

Same (a mild case of esophagitis).

Drank a half-glass of water with 1 tbsp ACV whenever the pain flared up. Took about a week for symptoms to go away. Saved me from going on Prevacid (which my doctor suggested I do).

It doesn't taste too bad when diluted, and it does aid in digestion.

When I take it, I just shoot it as well. It is recommended that you dilute it though, and you can add honey to help mask the taste.
