Which MLB teams have some of the better farm systems?

I follow MLB pretty regularly, but admittedly do not follow at all really in the minor league systems. I'm interested to know who some of the teams are that are very deep and some that maybe are pretty weak when it comes to prospects in the farm systems. .

Astros are deep. That's all I know.

St Louis and the white soxs always seem to bring up good young players. The difference seems to me is the cards keep them

Cubs are loaded with bats in their farm.

Twins, Red Sox, Pirates, Cubs, Astros are pretty much the consensus top currently.
But it's obviously a very fluid process.

The Cubs have some bats, but the Twins are stacked

Houston is getting a real good one, and you can put that on the guy who helped draft several of the cardinals top players. jeff luhnow
He has a system and a plan, u follow it and it can work.

Yes the Astros have a great farm system....and each and every year the major league teams' record reflects that greatness.
The cubs are another such team....seemingly always competitive...lmao
cue the "just give it time bunch"..lol

Because they've kept them all in the farm system the past few years and have racked up high draft picks while not starting the best prospects clock.
Look what Springer is doing since they called him up, Singleton is on his way up. They're doing a smart thing

Red Sox are disgustingly loaded with riches currently.

The Bravos used to have a good one....til they started trading all their prospects for rent-a-players i.e. Teixeira
The Astros seem to be unloading a few good ones this year.

How do they "sell" this approach to their few remaining season ticket holders ?
The Cubs have traditionally been one of the worst administered/managed clubs in MLB...yet, they continue to sell loads of tickets for their crappy teams...why ? bleacher bums, nostalgia, social event games, local party style etc. The Astros, on the other hand have NONE of that going for them !

Rays man! Mikey Mahtook is on the rise! Could see him at some point this year, if not, next for sure.

quote:No but they have a great farm system (that's already starting to bear some good fruit this year) put together by a mastermind who had a good-sized roll in making St Louis the power they've been over the past decade. Looking at the poor quality of the current team and judging it to continue that way when all talent level within the system indicates otherwise is incredibly short-sighted.

Because not that long ago Houston was a top NL team. Prior management kind of scorched the earth so to speak.
The system does work. It has worked for the Cardinals and the Astros now have that guy. We have promising times ahead as Astros fans.

Astros, Marlins, Twins, Pirates, Cubs, Red Sox, Cardinals, Mets, Rockies all have pretty good ones. The best ones are the Astros, Twins, and Pirates.
