I must admit, he did learn from the best St. Louis loses big names and just brings more up. That is what I am hoping the Stros get back to doing, and hopefully retaining a few bigger names if possible.

The Stros have dumped most of their terrible contracts. The signing of Feldman at $12M a year was puzzling, but I suppose having a veteran anchor your rotation isn't a bad thing. Guzman is hitting like shite for a first baseman, but hopefully they can turn him around. Otherwise he's a waste of $1.5M. Altuve is doing well, though. They only have 7 contracts over $1M. That's peanuts.

They're building. It will be interesting to see them in 5 years. I think they'll be competing for pennants.

Guzman and Krauss struggling so much is why Singleton got the call up and he did well in his debut. Hope he continues it. And yes, the Astros are poised to make some moves and lock down those prospects which really shine in a few years. I know entering last season, the entire Astros roster was set to make less than Alex Rodriquez was going to make hahaha that small payroll allows a lot of options moving forward. And yes, the Feldman signing was a bit odd, but I think he has helped with guys like Keuchel and McHugh, teaching them the ins and outs of the bigs. A few well placed vets can help a lot. Im expecting a much more competitive team and they have been as of late.
