Zidane´s been organizing a ´Legends´ friendly between Real Madrid and Juventus, which will be played the first week of June.
Florentino Pérez was in Turín (using this friendly as an excuse), and according to La Gazzeta, it was to further the Paul Pogba negotiations.
Fingers crossed.......

i won't ever deny that he is an incredibly selfless and massively clutch player. the guy always has a goal in him when one is needed. he seems content in his role on the team and does exactly what he's asked to do.
At the end of the day, isn't that all that matters? He scores when it is needed.

I think the reason for such vastly differing opinions on Dzeko ultimately comes down to whether City is better playing around a classic #9 target forward or having a more mobile, play making forward teamed with Kun.
Dzeko is a undeniably a top drawer #9 who's going to get into good positions in the box and score if a team plays to set him up.
However, it's also true that more of City's truly awe inspiring attacking performances (even dating back to Mancini) came with Kun + a more mobile, forward who's better off the dribble and passing in tight spaces: Tevez when not golfing, Negredo before he retired, Balotelli when he tried, even Jovetic when he's in one piece.
It seems that after 3 seasons neither Mancini nor Pelligrini have really come to a definitive decision (or maybe that have and just haven't had the consistent other option) and so it's no surprise fans are split.

well said.
i think a case can be made for keeping him or letting him go. i won't be upset either way.

I think he has his rough patches just like any other striker and his contributions to the club over the course of a season are a net positive. He provides City with options for when Kun is struggling or injured. The role that he has at City is one that other BPL teams are struggling to fill at the moment.

RUMOR: Spurs and Liverpool are in pursuit of Lazio defensive mid Ogenyi Onazi (Nigeria).
Yep, we need more midfielders at WHL.
I don't know the full specifics of Spurs issues, but that seems to be the big one from the outside.
As the article states - they haven't settled their managerial position yet, and are after targets.
Thats backwards - Spurs are deciding on a bunch of players, not even thinking about how they will work together or what system they may use. Then that forces the manager to have to either adapt his style to the players, or like the beginning of this year, play a style that the players aren't good at.

The journos in italy seem to think ibarbo is a long shot at best. Our guy phil hay reports cellino wants to sell him before he sells the club.
The swedish guy seems more likely. Tabanelli and avelar had loan deals arranged in january but they werent ratified by the football league in time. Id imagine they would be possibilities again.

Y'all think there is any chance Martinez leaves Bayern? Rumors floating around that he's unhappy due to his reduced role in Gaurdiola's reign.

City and Arsenal make sense. I would love it for us.

Exactly. We need a manager in place so he can decide who "his guys" are going to be. But if there is any position in which Spurs are deep, it's the midfield. We SORELY need to figure out the back line as they cost us way too many goals last season.

It makes absolutely no sense for a director of football to buy without a manager in place.

It would be quite a coup for Dortmund. Immobile is pretty young but has all the traits to fit their system and probably a higher potential ceiling than other options.
I think Juve is crazy to sell him but they'll probably be more keen that it's outside Italy and they're probably thinking it's money toward an "Electric" Sanchez or similar player.
Feel bad for Torino but they really have no chance to keep either Immobile or Alessio Cerci.

With them moving to the 433, how are they going to fit Tevez and Llorente into the side? Also there are some pretty promising strikers that Juventus has in Berardi and Gabbiadini, though I don't know who owns Gabbiadini. Berardi seems as a natural goalscorer.
