He's one of the more versatile ones for sure. I wouldn't call him a striker. He's an attacking midfielder, winger and striker. I have nothing against Bob but that was so stupid.

What do you Chelsea guys think about the rumors that Luiz will be sold in the summer to fund some other moves?

Same thing every summer.

I wouldn't like it because he can help in different positions and busts his balls and isn't a bitch so I like him as a player.

With that said I don't love him at CB because he's a liability and I don't know if he and Matic can both play at the same time if we want to be more attack minded but it seems like that's a pretty beastly combo if we want to defend.

All that rambling to say I don't want to sell him.

List of guys I want to go...

Salah
2 of Eto'o, Torres, Ba
Mikel
Oscar maybe
Wouldn't be sad if we sold Ramires, too many dumb cards/suspensions and donkey touches/passes but his energy is unmatched.

Want:

Striker duh, (not Costa, I'd be fine with just bringing Lukaku back over that and save about 50 mil)

A real #10 (Modric, Silva somebody like that)

Another wide player, or any midfielder really, who can add more to the attack. Like I mentioned I liked what I saw from Lavezzi in the CL.

Another quality fullback so our guys can rest some. Azpi and Ivan have run themselves ragged this season. Or let Ashley Cole play more.

Stop talking about FFP in this thread.

Also, it would be nice if people include the reality of the transfer happened. Don't just write Costa to Chelsea. Back it up with a source even if the source is goal.com, so then we know it is goal.com and what they are claiming.

Put this in the OP, solid words right here.

Dzeko is a fantastic #9. He gets rated poorly by some pundits because he's slow and doesn't really score spectacular goals. His goalscoring record in the Bundesliga was incredible, and his minutes to goals ratio in the Premier League is pretty solid for a "plodding" forward.

Anyone who is a fan of a Bundesliga team has Dzeko nightmares. I hope Dortmund doesn't get him.

i have no idea of how much of a discount man city will give in the sale, but maybe he could fill lukaku's shoes if everton can't keep him long-term?

That 2008-2009 Wolfsburg team

The reported mass exodus from Barcelona will be interesting to watch.

I really don't see why Dani Alves would want to leave unless he's just looking for a larger pay check. I understand Fabregas not wanting to be a rotational player, and the same could be said for the super efficient Pedro.

The Neymar deal really screwed up that club all in one transfer window. I bet Messi lost 10 goals this season from not fitting in with Neymar's selfishness and need for the ball at his feet.

different kind of strikers, I think, but he'd score goals if he got to play every game.

I wouldn't be mad if I got to watch Pedro play more often. He's entertaining.

Fabregas played well for Barça prior to Neymar's arrival as either a false nine or in a more traditional midfielder role. Now, with Alexis and Pedro relegated to the bench and Iniesta always being the better player, there's really no place for Fabregas.

Neymar's value has plummeted despite a fairly decent season. I remember reading that his value would have been even more astronomical if he would have stayed at Santos up until the World Cup where he would be the first great Brazilian playing for a Brazilian club during a World Cup (let alone Brazil's World Cup) since Pele and Garrincha.

Did it really? If Barca gave him back to his dad tomorrow, I think someone else still pays big for him.

ETA: Raul is apparently signing for the Cosmos. Going to buy my tickets now.

He was one of the guys that stayed in excellent form but didn't go up in rating for me for over a year. Sent him packing for Bernard in second year when I had more money because he always wanted more playing time. Bernard is a damn beast.
