Yes. I thoroughly enjoy my job though... I've been here since 7 this morning and will be here till 10 trying to get finished planting a field with this possible rain tonight. It's very nice outside, so I'm just sitting in my truck with the door open, enjoying the evening and watching our tractors work. The tractor drivers are probably ready to leave though.

Done both at different times as well. Sometimes compete to be the best sometimes have not given a frick, sometimes been somewhere in the middle.

I'd venture to guess he really thinks you are a dick because you are sitting in the truck posting in a thread about work while the actual employees are doing the work. I'm a business owner and I was always told to set the example. I'd be driving one of the tractors.

depends on what I am working on. there is quite a bit of BS that goes on at work so I do what I have to on that. However if I am working on something that is important I bust my tail.

I keep them all going, make all adjustments, and make sure everything is running smoothly. It's called efficiency. Somebody has to be the facilitator and decision maker on how this thing operates. It's not like I just sit here all day with my feet propped up. There's just a lull for people like me when you're winding down the day.
The employees get paid more than I do on days like to day, and I'm pretty sure every employee enjoys working for me... So we're all good here. Thanks for judging me though.

No. But I don't drag my feet on the job either.
I don't like having a feeling that I wasted a day on my job. I do sometimes, its unavoidable I guess but most of the time I come home feeling accomplished.

Yes and no for me. I don't really call it competing against anyone. I consider myself brighter and more naturally talented than everyone else I work with.
People might hear that as arrogant or whatever, but I don't think so. I also outwork everyone that I work with, so I don't have a problem acknowledging that I'm better.
