Sad to hear that. We had some good times on the board.

Even though I almost never agreed with him, the guy did add life to this board and was definitely one of the people who made the board what he became. When I think of the Poliboard, he's the second poster that comes to mind after Rex. Definitely enjoyed debating him over the years, and we had some epic verbal brawls. He'll be missed on this board simply for the debates he inspired, and I'm sure he will as well from his friends and family.

Rest in Peace

One of my favorite posters. From what I can read he made an even bigger legacy on this earth.

Charley is the third person from the left, white cap, in this photo. (From the link mentioned in the OP.)

We often disagreed on a lot but I had great debates with him in the past to the point they were fairly explosive. I always respected and appreciated his passion for what he believed in and he was one to never ever leave anything unsaid in the epic rants he would post on this board. I've been here for three years and he always stood out to me regardless of the content of his posts.

RIP to LAT.

Prayers sent to his family and friends.

Wow...Very sad news. LAT was one of the early ones around here back when we got the Poli board started. We both grew up in the Shreveport/Bossier area in the late 70's and had many late night discussions on all the old places back in those days. I had the pleasure of meeting him, SanFran, TigerGirl and a few others from here at the TD tailgate before the Fresno State game a few years ago. Very nice guy. I know he seemed to be battling some demons the past few years, I truly hope he is resting in peace....So long ole friend!!!

God speed, LAT. Honest and spirited defender of his principles. I consider him a Tiger brother, and kindred spirit as well. Will be sorely missed on the board.

Our time is limited, and thereby of great value. Never know when a post might be our last.

Later...brother.

RIP L.A. Tiger

I don't come here often, but when I do it was LAT's posts that really stood out to me (along with some others) He would be on the Mt Rushmore of the Poliboard

Sorry to hear this. He was a colorful poster, and his passion for LSU was never questioned.

I am confused by some of the posts in this thread, and I don't mind asking because I know he'd answer if he were here, but what were his quote on quote "demons" that he battled with, and did they have anything to do with his passing?

I think I was in Tiger Band with him a year or two. Hated his politics on this board, but always thought he was a stand up guy. Never wavered in his positions.

A true Tiger.
