Don't want to break this fricker's head off in me. How do I get this sumbitch off of me?

Strike a match and put the head of the match on it after you blow it out

Seems like I've heard this works somewhere

How to remove a tick

Use fine-tipped tweezers to grasp the tick as close to the skin's surface as possible.

Pull upward with steady, even pressure. Don't twist or jerk the tick; this can cause the mouth-parts to break off and remain in the skin. If this happens, remove the mouth-parts with tweezers. If you are unable to remove the mouth easily with clean tweezers, leave it alone and let the skin heal.

After removing the tick, thoroughly clean the bite area and your hands with rubbing alcohol, an iodine scrub, or soap and water.

Avoid folklore remedies such as "painting" the tick with nail polish or petroleum jelly, or using heat to make the tick detach from the skin. Your goal is to remove the tick as quickly as possible--not waiting for it to detach.

Pull it off. Matches, Vaseline, etc can make it dig in further. Good luck!

He's really small - a tad smaller than the head of a match stick. If I grab it with tweezers, I'm just going to smash it because it is so small.

I've picked up a few ticks hiking. I use the dental floss method (#2 in the link). Works great to ensure that when you pull him out that you don't accidentally squeeze all of his lyme disease guts into you.

Tweezers. Burning it makes it throw up.

put your finger on it with some pressure. Rotate your finger in circles for at least 30 seconds. Stop and he will back out.

Nail polish does not always work. Just had to take one off my son. Ended up using tweezers. Squeeze the head and give it a light tug every now and then and it will eventually let go..
