what happened to your mother?

Damn, that hurts to hear. Sorry about that.

Growing up I never had the best relationship with my father and I thought it was bad. I couldn't imagine not having him around. Sorry to hear that man. Seems like you have turned out well without him.

Look on the positive side. At least this little girl has a chance now and thankfully her mother didn't do something really heinous like drowning her or selling her into sex slavery or letting some sicko act on a depraved fantasy.
You just have to pray that this will get some publicity and she'll have a quality adoptive family and the state won't hold on to her until they can put her back in her family's home. Maybe one side of her family is looking for her and have good hearts and good values.
A mom that's off her rocker could have done much worse than ditching the kid at McDonalds.

Does this happen often? I hear about this on the news from time to time, but is it more frequent?
Hell, I wouldn't abandon a pet anywhere, let alone my own child. Or anyone elses child.

Peace be with you and that little girl. I ask the Lord Jesus to protect her and find her a home where there will be love and security. In HIS name, Lord have mercy.

Why in the frick do people do this to kids?
Posted on 3/18/14 at 10:05 pm to LC412000
Better than the parents who let their infant starve. Let a couple who wants to love this kid take her. She will have a much brighter future now.

I just gave my nearly 5 year old angel a huge hug and a kiss. She's totally confused. Thanks for sharing.

I saw a lady do this to 5 kids in Slidell. She bought them food, brought them to the play area, and just left. I was there for 20 minutes and nobody came to get the kids

She's likely to be adopted fairly quickly due to her age and lack of time in the foster system. Sadly, this is assuming she is white or hispanic.
So true.
The saddest part of Tony Dungy's autobigraphy was the part where he and his wife adopted for the first time. They were told there was an 18-month waiting list for a baby. When they asked about a black baby, they found out they could leave the building with one.

Some humans literally have the consciousness of animals. It's heartbreaking.

I have a 5 year old. He's my world. I just can't imagine. I've got a few tears. This little sweetheart has to be so confused and scared right now. Breaks my heart.

If the mom is a shitty enough person to do something like this, the girl is probably better off without her
except now she will probably be in the system for a few years.

A few weeks ago in Las Vegas a mother pushed her 3-year-old son under water in her bathtub until the kid was dead.
It's a sick world we live in and there isn't anything we can do about it except to live a good life and try to be a positive influence on those around us.

Seriously, I want to go wake mine up and do the same (she'll probably think it's time to wake up and watch Caillou)

Blonde hair blue eyed 5 year old girl? I'd be shocked if she wasn't adopted this time next month.
