Should there be a "sin" tax on coke? I am mixed. On the hand it is an impediment on people right to consumer choice. On the other hand, fat is a burden on the health system.

Slippery slope. What's next? Red meat? Potato chips? Bacon?

If you allow the gov't to regulate what you can and cannot eat through taxation, IMO that is giving people far too much power over your personal life.

STDs are very costly on the health system too. Maybe they should tax sex as well?

Last thing you want is the government dictating what you eat via taxes. Though, now that they're running our health insurance, I could see it happening. That and Moochelle telling schools what they can and can't serve.

I drink an occasional coke an I'm not fat .. Nor am I a burden to the health care system.

Charge higher rates for the day asses to get insurance, not the people that want to drink a coke!
