Residents of GA can do what they like, but personally I would like people to have the option to indicate how exactly fricking stupid, backwards and racist they are.

Louisiana has the same thing.
I thought about getting one because I am eligible to join the SCV since I am a direct descendant of one.

If the biggest race issue people can find to bitch about is a confederate flag on a license plate, there are no race issues anymore.
Obviously there are still race issues, but this isn't one of them. The majority of Americans couldn't even identify the confederate flag unless you told them they are supposed to be pissed about it.

If we would just stop appeasing all these pot stirring individuals, then people would learn to to stop being unnecessarily offended and start being more tolerant of things they shouldn't be offended by in the first freaking place.

The majority of Southerners were poor themselves and didn't own slaves or land. I'm from New York and I lived in Georgia for many years but it didn't offend me when I was called a Yankee by Southerners because when I eventually left the South all y'all knew at least I wasn't a Damn Yankee. I now live in California and I've met more racists and bigots here than I ever met in Georgia. BTW, Go DAWGS!!!!

But I don't have it on a license plate so there's no way to know how backwards I am, right??? You're really a moron... And the opposition viewpoint should be encouraged at all times unless you're a GD Communist... Which is what you are... Don't you have to be a member of the Sons of Confederate Veterans to purchase one of these plates? Also, isn't the flag part of the SCV logo?
It isn't like every person in Georgia is able to go and purchase this plate. Maybe .03% of the cars in GA will display this plate.

The Stars and Stripes is the true flag of slavery for it proudly waived during the 224 years that slavery was legal in this country. The Stars and Bars were up only about 4, and was only one of many battle flags during the conflict.
