I'm not going to pretend that baseball is huge everywhere in the country, but it's way more popular than hockey and lacrosse, nationwide. There are roughly 300 D1 baseball playing schools, compared with about 60 for the other two sports mentioned.

baseball isn't that big
big two is what matters
Except for LSU fans who think that it's bigger than basketball.

Just off the top of my head I'd pick UNC. They're usually decent in football, good in basketball and baseball.

First off, what are your Big 3 sports? Second, Ohio State has to at least be in the discussion. Michigan? lol
12-0 Football
Elite 8 in Basketball
In 2005-6' Ohio State went to the National Title in Football and in Basketball
Ohio State has been a top 10 program in Football and in Basketball since 2005.
Ok, well that's only 2 sports obvious retard

College hockey outdraws college baseball.

On national tv, or in regional attendance?

in 2011 UConn played in a Super Regional, won the basketball national title, and played in the Fiesta Bowl.

Louisville last year.
I think Arizona a sleeper in this discussion. #2 in hoops, beat Oregon in football and won a bowl game (a crappy one I know), and won the baseball national title in 2012.

Lol. I forgot about that UConn football team. The only teams they played that season worth mentioning were teams that worked them.

Not saying they are the most balanced but they're certainly working their way up would be the Ducks.
And to the Hockey crowd: Volleyball > Hockey (College at least.)

Florida, Texas, and sometimes UCLA
If it wasn't for baseball it would be Ohio State
ETA: are we talking this year or historically?

Are we talking just this year, last 5-10 years, or all-time?
Posted on 2/15/14 at 1:32 am to jg8623
If it's just this year, my answer is Louisville.
