third time in a row I've purchased an item that was described "New unopened box"

Get it and it's been opened, tried out, operated whatever.
So sick of this shite.Seller always responds with
quote:

"Send it back I'll refund it all "

Nahh dude, frick that noise. Why should I be inconvenienced to ship it back and be without the item I won because you lied in your description.

I'm sure when they sell the shite they're hoping nobody will recognize.

Last one I had like this was definitely at least a floor model. One of the knobs was messed up, the battery door screws were messed up, and there were scratches on it. He offered 1/2 refund and I took it. Pretty sure if they get bad feedback they'll just open a new account. I guess I got lucky he was protecting his username rating.

Same exact thing happened to me recently. Item was described as "brand new mint condition" and was clearly used. I think it had been factory refurbished but you could see the wear on it. So I gave a negative feedback. Well, Ebay doesn't like for you to give any negative or neutral feedback. They sent me emails discouraging it and made me wait for like 2 weeks before I could post the feedback.

When you sell on ebay, there is New, New(other) and used.

Many times if something is opened people will sell it as new.
If it's used it's used, but being opened doesn't make something used.

I hate people who buy a part from me, get it. Then find out it didn't fix their problem and want a refund.

(yeah that electronic control you sent me, it didn't fix the problem, I had a clogged water pump, didn't need the control that I installed and powered up and took 60% of the value from. Can I have my money+shipping back?)

At least as a buyer eBay will help you out, sellers get fricked. You can't even leave bad feedback as a seller.
Worst thing about selling appliance parts to parts changers....

Your not sending it back is what he was counting on and why he knew he'd get away it.

For what I shop for, eBay has become a 99% retail site with 1% of them actually being auctions. I don't even bother with it anymore because of that
