Chase - very broad and national, they have no minimum balance fee so you never have to worry about that.
I actually had capital one, they invoked a "minimum $500" or something of that sort on every bank statement or they'll charge some % fee. I promptly closed out that account and opened with Chase because they had no minimum requirement (esp. for students)

I have Chase and regions. I like them bothand have no issues either way but Chase is ahead in the online banking category.

Credit Unions > Banks
Most Credit Unions are linked up to the same network, so you can access your money across the country. While their mobile apps lack behind the big banks, they still work just fine. My Credit Union does not charge an overdraft fee. They don't require a minimum balance, have a monthly service fee, etc. A book of checks are $8. Their interest rates often times are better than banks. Their CC interest rates are usually lower than banks.

I have regions and have never had a problem with them...I have never had to pay a fee though I do keep a pretty high balance....
my main reason for chosing them was the availability of branches with atm locations in the areas that I travel...whatever you chose, be sure they have branches in the areas that you travel and places that you may relocate to in order to keep your existing account in the event you relocate....

I love Regions. They've always been great to me and my family. I've not had a single problem from them since I joined them 10 years or so ago.

chase is great, for every reason you said.. and you can use the atm at walgreens for free, in case you're in an area that doesn't have chase bank..

I've been banking with Investar for a short while, no bad experiences yet, and a pretty good interest rate on my accounts--(1.98% and 0.6%). They only have a few branches though, which is why you're leaving your current bank...

Lots of banks do this but mostly local ones...I happen to bank at OIB and that interest rate is
Rewards Checking
Very high interest rates and reimbursement for any and all ATM fees

All of this is true. Neighbor's has a lot of branches.

Bancorp South sucks. I had a business account with them years ago.
I've used Regions and Iberia Bank for years. Both are good. Regions has great technology and I liked them a little better for personal banking. Iberia Bank blows everybody away for business banking. There's nobody close IMO.
