I did the opposite. I went from the larger Chase to the local Bank Of New Orleans.
It only has four branches, but the ATM network covers tons of banks, so it's easier than Chase, even with Chase being in every Wal-greens.
I miss ATM check deposits that credit instantly, but hey, I like that the bank employees all know me by name.

Good thread. I may use a bank one day. For now the cash I make goes in my jar I keep hidden.
