Nobody likes MLB. It's a dead sport.

TV ratings have NBA and college basketball beating world series. I guess it all depends where poll took place because I would think ratings are better way to tell popularity

In 2014, 35 percent of fans call the NFL their favorite sport, followed by Major League Baseball (14 percent), college football (11 percent), auto racing (7 percent), the NBA (6 percent), the NHL (5 percent) and college basketball (3 percent).
In 1985, the first year the poll was taken, the NFL bested MLB by just one percentage point (24 to 23 percent), but since then interest in baseball has fallen while the NFL has experienced a huge rise in popularity.

shitty teams make playoffs
same group of teams are only real contenders for championship every year
rules cater to offense and superstars
last 2 minutes of a game last for 20 minutes because of stupid amount of timeouts

I think people are missing the point of this article. It's not a vote of "do you watch this sport?" It's a vote of "what is your favorite sport?"
I obviously am a diehard Thunder fan, but my favorite sport (and always has been) is MLB. Used to be CFB #2 up until about 2 years ago with all the rule-changes.
And whether it's 2nd or 3rd on my list of favorite sports, I can still love and enjoy the NBA.
