im a huge football fan and would rather watch a football game.. with that said, nba is the one of the three major sports where one guy can totally take over a game "yes a mlb pitcher can also but mehh boring to me " basketball is my first love and seeing the amount of talent in the nba now is refreshing. After mj left there was a dead period "at least for me" but now these guys are just incredible to watch on a nightly basis, and seem to truely love the game!

I don't hate Lebron. Only thing I don't like about him is a player at his size flopping.

I've gotten to see him play in person 4 times now. I still can't understand how a player that big has the speed and handles he has. We may never see another player like Lebron.

I remember you bringing that up in another thread too. I've come to this line of thinking the more I've matured. I want to see a good game, and if my team loses, it loses. I'll acknowledge and applaud excellence on the other side of the field.

He will probabaly never leave the East, but I wish LBJ played in the West so we could see more head-to-head matchups between these two.

no other team has played more basketball in the past couple of years than the Heat.

Also, no other player has played more basketball than LeBron in the past couple of seasons. Counting the Olympics and NBA Playoffs LeBron really doesn't stop..

Some posters don't seem to understand this.

I wasn't referring to you with the hate post, that was just in general.

But I do think you're a little to into comparing KD to Lebron.

i have seen him 3 times and going again in march, like you have said.. for someone his size the things he does is AMAZING, and his passing skills for a man his size is even more amazing in person. Chris paul is another i saw in person several times and as a point guard myself, watching him handle the ball is just magical!

Ball hog

not really saying that the ball is in his possession for less than three minutes each game. He does not hog it, he takes quick, open looks and if it is not there then he passes it out and goes at it again...

Yeah...this coming from the guy who revels in Tom Brady's failures.

You suck at math

although he technically could have taken 33 FTs and missed a shitload of them

They're by far the 2 best basketball players on the planet and Durant is having his best season as a pro, without Westbrook by his side. So why not draw comparisons? Sports discussion is the point of this site, yes?

Yes, i have no problems with the discussion or comparison.

But you gotta admit, most of the time you post about a great KD game, you immediately default to a sarcastic type reply that either involves Lebron or obviously insinuates that Durant is better, while not going far enough to actually say it.

You were on a tear the other night doing just that lol.

How were the Thunder pre Westbrook injury?

I'm not sure since I don't watch much regular season NBA (catch a big game here or there), but strictly from a numbers standpoint, is it better for KD without the shooting RW?

Would his numbers be close to this good if RW was still there? It doesn't take anything away from his numbers, but just curious what OKC fans think his numbers would look like with RW shooting 15+ shots a game.

I am honestly starting to get slightly weirded out about his LeBron obsession.

KD's numbers wouldn't be as good if RW was there, but the team is better with RW around, obviously.
