I think the Pacers have a good shot at making the Finals too. They are the most complete team IMO

Thunder Pacers would be an awesome matchup.

But I think Westbrook would pick them apart. Who would guard him assuming George predominately takes Durant?

Good point, but Westbook being healthy is a pretty big problem. But i do think he will be fine by then

Im assuming George Hill or Stephenson would guard him

He takes more shots than Marshall Henderson. Of course, he makes more too.

I think he's only averaging like 2 more shots a game than LBJ this year

Looks like LBJ is KD-sessed:
To be fair, you're rather obsessed with comparing the 2 as well

Durant is probably the most liked player on this board, what are you talking about?

to be fair, he didn't play that well to start the year. this is making up for it.

It sucks that KD will win this one not only because he is having a GREAT YEAR, but its coming after LeBron has won the last 4/5....When someone begins to win these awards over and over again it shines a light on other players and says well this guy who has been winning it over and over again is just putting up the same stats he put up to win the previous awards...he isn't outdoing those stats.....and therefore it makes voters look elsewhere.

Is KD deserving..yes...but would he have won this award when LeBron won one of his 1st MVPs..probably not..

I'm not so sure about that.

this + the Decision is why lebron hasn't won 5 straight

i won't be upset if durant wins it this year, but lebron is right there (if not playing better). while durant is taking more shots (over 4 more FGA and 2.6 more FTA), lebron is more than making up for that by shooting FIFTY-EIGHT PERCENT. that's shaq-level shooting from a wing player

Im as big of Lebron supporter as you will find. But durant is putting the team on his back and having a great season. I really dont have a favorite nba team, and totally quit watching nba after mj left because the talent level just fell off! Now there is as much talent in the nba as there has ever been, and its great to watch! Lebron, durant, paul george, kyrie, cp3, just tons of young talent in the nba makes it awesome to watch. Nba fans should just soak it all in and not hate one player because they like another, we are lucky to watch such great talents!

I've spoken about this recently, across all sports.

One of the more weird things about fandom to me is how much you "have" to hate other players, and how much hate goes around. It's such a strange thing.

These people are also the ones who let the outcome of games affect their lives. They aren't stable people.

Yeah...Durant is playing unbelievable and so is LeBron...

LeBron needs to go on a tear of big time games at some point this season to put the league on notice....but I dont think it will happen because the Heat will kind of coast it out because it all matters in the playoffs, not reg season and no other team has played more basketball in the past couple of years than the Heat.

Also, no other player has played more basketball than LeBron in the past couple of seasons. Counting the Olympics and NBA Playoffs LeBron really doesn't stop..
