LSU Will Be Much Better Next Year. 11-1 at worst.

Schedule will be easier, although the game AT Auburn will be tough.
Our defense is going to be much better. Our secondary is going to be stout and I am expecting better LB play. We have 9-10 DLinemen to rotate and a bunch of talented guys with another year under their belt. Our defense will be better.
The offense will take a step back in the passing game, but I think that we will be just as explosive. With better defense, we might not be scoring 50 per game, but we will play more ball control LSU football.
It will be a good year.

If Collins and Turner stay as well, I don't think that's a bad prediction. LSU could have the best rushing attack in the SEC next year if all pans out.

If Miles wins 9 games next season I would be surprised.

Break it down position by position and look at the schedule.
Then, think about LSU's game plan for each game.
Where we will take a step back:
QB: No doubt. But with a strong OLine and run game, the QB doesn't have to do too much. We have 4 guys to pick from who are all talented. Coaches will find a game manager and help him grow into the role.
WR: Lots of talent there and they don't have to do too much early. We will pass more to TEs and RBs and move the pocket with Jennings. Guys will be a major step back, but will grow quickly.
DLine: Lots of talent there and now we have depth. I am least worried about this spot.
We need an explosive KR/PR, but I think that the team will be better, overall.
We will seem more games like the Iowa game, but I think we will control the clock, limit mistakes, exploit weaknesses, and improve as the year goes on.
I think LSU will surprise a lot of people next year.

I like the optimism but lets get real...losing too much talent.

Miles averages a minimum of two losses a year. How can you say worst scenario is 11-1?

Pretty much every team that matters in the sec is taking a step back at qb.
Huge plus for LSU.

We are losing talent, but our schedule will be easier and we are going to be younger at some positions and more focused.
We will be more effective as a team.
The team this year should have beaten Georgia and Ole Miss. Really should have. Yes, we lose talent, but this time I do think that we reload in an effective way.
Less downfield passing, but more intermediate stuff on offense a running game that will not be stopped.
I am serious.

We will have QB issues next year. I think 11 wins is asking a tad too much

If we win more than 9 games it will be because of the players, coordinators and position coaches right?

Are you including bowl game here?

Bama and TAMU will be breaking in new QBs as well
Auburn won't sneak up on anyone and didn't they lose Mason?

I'm with you.
The biggest question mark is QB, but what is different from the past is the quality of recruits is better (all 3 young guys are well rounded QB's) and we have Cam Cameron. You have to believe he will be comfortable with the product he puts on the field by next fall. Our running game will be special, and Jennings definitely adds to that.
On the other side, DL may be considered a concern, but we have super talent that we haven't even seen yet; if half of these kids pan out, we will be dangerous in the 2-deep at every spot. LB's are seasoned, and DB's will be the best they have been since Claiborne was here.
I'm really excited about the team next year.

Hahahhaha
7-5
Quarterback is the most important position
we don't have one

No doubt the staff deserves credit and 9 wins wasn't including a bowl win.

I agree with much of what you said, but this is looney! We have one guy to choose from, and the jury is out on him. His decisive and early victory over the other incumbents tells us that those battles are not close. That leaves an untested, unknown true freshman. We might be relying on our run game like two years ago. Success will depend on how stout the D is.

we have 3 that are better than the last QB to lead us to an SEC championship.
I think WR will take a bigger hit than QB. I'm obviously not saying that Jennings is better (at this point) than Mett was, but OBJ and Landry made Mett look very good at times when he was average.
I was originally hoping to go comatose for the 2014 year and wake up for the NC in 2015, but with Hill (and Fournette), and (hopefully) Collins, and Turner returning the running game will be #1 in the SEC.
11-1 might be ambitious, but it wouldn't surprise me either.

Won the SEC that year, and our D will be solid this year. I agree with you here.
