Probably about the same, you can't do much about diversity.

I think the best would be better and the worse the same. However, we want full conformity in our country so everyone is equal.

desire to see porn on the computer, smart phone, whatever..would drive the kids to teach themselves or dl an app to teach them.

where'd they get the computer/phone?...they stole it....where'd they get net access? free wi-fi/hot-spot

the reason parents today (and their parents before, and parents before that) can teach children to read and write at home is because of schooling way back.

It's already at 99%, but it would probably go higher as illiterate kids would drop out of school and not be part of the testing.

I think that I misunderstood the question. My new answer is I have no idea.

and it has already been admitted by libertarians on here that a free market educational system would lead to a dramatic decrease of kids in school.

I don't know if private schooling is the way to go. But I do think it's time we seriously reconsider the education system in this country.

Well then obviously the free market doesn't need as many poorly educated kids as we produce right now. Hell, you don't even need to know how to add to work at McDonalds. And I'm pretty sure they can put pictures on the computer where your order is taken to help the server out. Oooorrr, just turn the screen around so I can order myself via touch screen and swipe debit card and take the retard out of it.

pretty easy IMO, just do a retention test. Have adults of every age range take tests to see what do 50% of adults still remember.....if the subject isn't retained at +50%, then don't teach it as it's a waste of their time and the public's money.

ie...most people remember that 2+2=4...so teach that as a part of public education.....most people don't remember that 4 arctan(1) =3.14159(pi)...so don't teach it as a part of public education.....everybody remembers George Washington was the 1st president...no one remembers that Franklin Pierce was the 14th...so why bother teaching it?

it's really that simple...public education is about establishing a base, not exposure.

you admitted that schooling is why literacy rates are 100%, and you guys have also admitted that free market education would lead to a decrease in students. It logically follows that there would be a decrease in literacy rates.

Is basic literacy the only metric we measure our education system's efficiency by?
