and you guys have also admitted that free market education would lead to a decrease in students.
Where?

It logically follows that there would be a decrease in literacy rates.
Only if people are too fricking stupid to fix a problem on their own, so yeah I guess Obama voters would in fact be illiterate.

Yes, you said the reason why parents can teach their children to read and write is because they went to school.

Without public schools, our at least vouchers for private schools, a lot of poor and working class folks would have a tough time sending their kids to school. Those cheaper schools that did exist would have shitty resources. It's never going to happen. It's libertarian dreamland stuff.

actually I disagree...employees would demand higher wages to cover the costs of education.

when people have necessities taken care of for them , they do not force the issue....people will work for $12/hour if they can get a rental for $500 and only have to worry about food & electricity...but if they'd have to pay $1k/month for their kid, then people wouldn't work for $2k/month

Where would this power to demand higher wages come from for low skilled replaceable workers? I've seen this argued in regard to welfare and food stamps to, and I just don't see it. It might work if you're a skilled worker with some bargaining power.

unicorn wisdom.

The fact of the matter is that the free market would be an absolute DISASTER at providing poor fricks with education.

This is the sole reason I am not a libertarian. Education determines everyone's life in this world. It needs to be guaranteed.

I think you could do it with vouchers, but that would obviously still be public funding. Don't know how much of a difference it would make though. Public funding of education seems to have pretty broad support outside of hardcore libertarians.
