Figured the odds were pretty low when the "story" first broke. Things like this usually are done professionally and the story comes out through a reputable source.

With LHN and ESPN, I figured surely ESPN would get first wind of it so I thought it was unlikely since they did not report anything. Now it seems more unlikely than ever.

Why wouldn' they break the news on LHN and/or ESPN first? They have a financial interest together. Doesn't make sense any other way. I think he is staying put.

...if they truly have a contract in place with Saban, why is Brown still the coach

Working out details of how Brown will be compensated. What position he will assume going forward. Waiting for the football banquet to be over and on CNS side for the heisman presentation to be over.

What's changed to make you believe it won't happen?

I never did think he would leave. What sold the fact that he is not leaving is him telling potential recruits in the 2014 class that he is not leaving. Saban will lie to the media, lie to recruits that have signed their letter of intent...but he has nothing to gain by lying to recruits that are not on campus yet.

The only reason anyone could have thought he was leaving is based solely on the "word" of posters with "insider" information on Shaggy or Tigerdroppings. That in turn manifested into tweets...which manifested The Doc with his "insider information".

It was all a big circle jerk.

Saban to Texas - big payday to stay at Alabama.
Next up - Saban to Cowboys, another big payday to stay at Alabama, etc.

3. Neither University has done a good job of officially announcing an offer or deflecting an offer and its kind of becoming an embarrassment to both universities.

How is this embarassing for Bama in any way? Why should Alabama make an official announcement about a coach who is currently under contract stating he's not leaving? Makes no sense.

That is ridiculous. His current contract already spells out how he would be compensated if he is terminated.

So you think Saban has never lied to recruits that are not yet on campus?

Wow is all I can say. There is a better shot he coaches at Texas than Bama next year. Everyone knows Mac Brown has to reign/retire or be fire before any announcement.

Way to many factors to bet he'll return.
1) Impending NCAA infractions
2) Twice the money
3) A chance to win a Championship at a 3rd school
4) A chance to leave a school where his players don't receive death threat's.
5) Bad investment help.
6) Less time on the road recruiting. UT recruitment ends months before everyone else.
7) Easier road to the big game.

Why wouldn't he just make this claim to the media...wouldn't that put potential recruits more at ease?
