I don't give a bucket of f*cks. Just enjoying the entertainment at the expense of someone else's fan base instead my own for a change.

doesn't matter if he signs a new contract today, tomorrow, or next week. he has a clause in there that says he can leave whenever he wants. the contract with Bama doesn't stop him from going elsewhere.
his contract does say, however, that he has to notify his boss if he or his agent are talking to any potential employers.

I have no clue where he ends up. I think there is a decent chance that he leaves, just based on the following:
1- As far back as that giddy leap into AJ McCarron's arms at the end of the LSU game something seemed different with him. That's not the Saban who never really even took time to celebrate national championships much less a regular season game played before the SEC west was even won.
2- The Bama/Auburn game this year had a vibe that was kind of eerily similar to the LSU/Iowa bowl game the year he left for the Dolphins. Kind of distracted seeming game management and a bit of putting things on the players when the game went south.
3- It seems almost certain that something is going on with Texas. Just way too much smoke for there not to be some sort of fire.
I do think there is a possibility that he's just using Texas to leverage Bama. (I don't think there's much of a possibility at all that he just told the Bama power brokers that "nah, I'm here. Don't sweat it"). It's either he is going to Texas or he's trying to get as much out of Bama as he can using the Texas interest.

The Texas guys post information. The Bama guys post hopes.
Time will tell but my gut goes with the Texas guys .
Of course it could be bunk info, but it doesn't strike me that way.

I believe what I've believed since rumors of Mack leaving started, which is it's obviously possible but I don't see it and honestly don't see why he would.
Everything else is just fun and games.

If Saban is on record as saying he's not leaving Bama, then hasn't the die already been cast?
Why can't Bama just say "GFY, you're not getting a new extension, and get us a good kicker."
???????

Anyone On The Board Still Honestly Believe Saban To Texas? doesn't matter if he signs a new contract today, tomorrow, or next week. he has a clause in there that says he can leave whenever he wants. the contract with Bama doesn't stop him from going elsewhere. his contract does say, however, that he has to notify his boss if he or his agent are talking to any potential employers.
This leads to an interesting question. What benefit possibly comes from Coach Saban saying anything?
1). Unrustling jimmies from Bama fans and/ or administration? Who cares
2). Would affect recruiting? He is NMFS.... Recruiting will be off the charts regardless
3.) Reduce media speculation? He just lost a big game with BCS implications. The media and message boards are not talking about the BCS game. They are talking about NMFS.
Maybe he goes, maybe he stays.... But the the argument about not signing a phantom extension that "has been on his desk for a week" doesn't hold water.
