Thank you Zach Mettenberger!!! You always will be one of the greatest passers in LSU history and a true example of the passion and emotion that is LSU football!!

Zach did exactly what was expected of him. He came in, rode the bench for a year, then played and matured into one of our great qb's. We all wish he had another year but since he doesn't, we wish him well in the NFL. He might have come in as a Bulldog but he leaves as a true Tiger. And...he earned his degree. Proud to call him an alumni!

Total bummer he gets hurt at the end of a game against a bad team that LSU should've been able to put away by the third quarter.

One of the toughest kids I've seen on a football field. Developed into a good leader and top flight QB. And represented the school in terrific fashion.
Thanks, Mett. Here's to a quick and complete recovery and success at the next level.

Thanks Zach for restoring faith in LSU having a consistent and quality QB. Best of luck to you in the future!

I truly believe he loved his time here at LSU. And I know we loved him being here. He is going to be missed tremendously.

Thanks, Zach for the memories and hard work.
Memo to the NCAA please find a way to break bread w/ the players b/c what happened to Zach and Murray screams injustice.

One of the best deep ball passers we've had - probably only Jones and Russell ahead of him. I really liked his passion and spirit - we've certainly needed a leader like that on the offense.
In the grand scheme of things, Mett could have been one of those casualties - gets in trouble, doesn't turn it around and loses millions of dollars in the exchange.
Now, no matter what else happens, he has a family - the LSU family - and if the worst thing that happens is that he ends up working at a bank or selling insurance in Baton Rouge or Lafayette, or whatever - he's probably cool with that. People around here will not forget his bootleg against Ole Miss, or some of those crazy passes to OBJ and Landry.
I'm fairly confident he will recover well enough to be drafted and get a shot somewhere. I wish him the very best.
Geaux Mett!
Geaux Tigers!

Guy was a true warrior on the field. Been a long time since I've seen an LSU QB hang in the pocket long enough to deliver a great ball and take the hit. Guy is a stud.
Thanks for the memories Mett

A great Tiger. Hopefully with great surgery , he can still get a high draft pick in the NFL. Certainly, appreciate everything he has done for us Tiger fans. Mett you are da Man.

One of my favorite players to watch just because of how darn tough he is! I really hope this guy makes it at the next level! He deserves it!

Really sucks the way he went out, but the guy had arguablt the best season for a QB in LSU history.

Dude reminded us what it was like to have an actual QB after we were in a 4 year abyss of Hatch, Lee and Jefferson.
amen, much love for Mett!
