While he didn't technically live up to the team expectations that were set for him (no SEC title, bowl win etc.), his stats say he will go down as one of LSU's better QBs.

Mett is the man and def the best qb weve had since jmarc, but this pretty much shows that a passing game is not all that is needed. We didnt have one and had one of the best seasons in LSU history, we finally have one, and people want coaches gone.

Mett was a true tiger and i know he gave it his all for us. Just wish we could have seen him one last time. I know he would have had a field day against whichever team we get paired with in the bowl game.

After seeing the emotion he showed I like him even more. I will be pulling hard for him to become a success in NFL like I do for all former Tigers. Great job Mett!

I think he was our generations version of Bert Jones. He will heal, and give us something to watch on Sundays for a long time,

Im saddened by this.

Mett is the man !!! Best QB we've seen in a long long time. Think if Cam was here last year also.... holy shite this guy would have broken career records and LSU may have won the NC in 2012. Ah..

Anyway, Good Luck Mett, will be cheering for you in the NFL !!!!

I will never forget how you picked yourself up against Alabama and did not allow anyone to say that you were DOA on that field. I am sorry about the news, but I know that you will do well and recover quickly. Good luck my man and thanks for all of your dedication as a Tiger.

Once a Tiger, always a Tiger.......
