Your stronger than me...

Best Stop is only outdone by Nunu's in Youngsville when it comes to Boudin

This! Love me so NuNu's boudin. Even picked up one on their "Got Boudin?" t-shirts they sell.

Thread hijack (sorta)

In a couple weeks I will be traveling I-10 to Lafayette, then 90 down towards Houma.

I need to pick up some cold/frozen tasso and boudin to bring back to Texas.

Give me some recs on where to go. The plan right now is Best Stop, but NuNu's wouldn't be too far out of the way.

We are fortunate enough to have the owners of both Best Stop and Don's make annual trips to our hunting camp bearing a plethora of specialty meats with each visit. Both offer great boudin imo. And both fall a step short of Da Mowata Stoe's boudin..

especially the pepper jack cheese ones

One of the most overrated things I have ever put in my mouth.

The regular boudin balls are much better. Just not worth paying extra for the stuffed ones. Does nothing for it.

BTW Jerky at Best Stop is often overlooked.

If I have time I make a stop at three places.

Dons for cracklin (if cold at Best Stop)

Billy's for Boudin Balls

Best Stop for smoked boudin and jerky.

BTW why did they think that people in Scott would be able to navigate a traffic circle?

I actually picked up boudin from Best Stop this weekend because I like to rotate where I get it....don't know if it was a bad batch but I bought 3 lbs and threw away 2.5 of them, it was horrible. It's usually pretty good

best stop use to be the best forever. They have been inconsistent in the recent years. Don's has the best cracklins and boudin right now. Billy's has some amazing pepper jack boudin balls.

No shite.. People are coming out of Billy's wanting to make a left not knowing that they are forced to make a "look kids big ben" trip before proceeding left.

Billy's in Krotz Springs, on Hwy. 190. The owner gets recipe from place in Opelousas.

That is where the original store is. Located in a gas station.
