Black Bear but it was not close to me and not a threat. This was in North Louisiana about 20 years ago.

Bobcat when I was a teenager in the woods by my house. All I had was a hatchet. We both went our separate ways.

Almost got T-boned in a tree stand one morning by a flying turkey. Saw my life flash before my eyes.

I have had numerous intentional run ins with Alligators as a kid. We used to catch them Steve Irwin style.

Had a pelican try to kill me whilst I removed my topwater bait from his wing.

In HS my friend had an old bull we would provoke to chase us, but the scariest was a bear in Rocky Mountain national. It was eating berries several hundred yards away. Disappeared while I was out taking pics of it then it stood up on it's hind legs about 100 yards from me. He may have been okay but it was too close for me.

Coon in a box stand before daylight. Coon ended up dead but only after he drew blood from me in 3 different places. Has anyone ever fired a .270 inside a stand? A scoped bolt action is not the preferred weapon for close quarter battle.

Got my arse completely whipped by an emu once.
It had escaped from a farm and we found it on a place I was hunting. We knew where it came from, so devised a plan to return it as a good gesture. It was not really wild, and you could walk up within 10 ft or so before it would take a couple steps away. I'm not sure about the best way to catch a 100lb bird, but I promise you it isn't roping it. When you are tied on to a bird that size, with feet like clubs, it's an indescribable feeling. And for some reason, my mind couldn't tell my hands to let go of the rope as the bastard clubbed me over and over with feet that felt like bricks. If it wouldn't have knocked me out, I wouldn't have dropped the rope, and he likely would have killed me.
Now days, someone would have videoed it and I'd be an internet sensation. As it stood, the guy I was hunting with just stood against a tree and laughed.

A black bear and her cub with me and my dog. I was afraid my dog was going to run after them when they took off running and she wouldn't have stood a chance.
